I've started out small making ejuice. I'm now supplying 30ish people. I keep a very clean kitchen, but it's still a kitchen. I vape only my own stuff so I'd be the first person to know if there was any issue.

At this point I know it makes no difference if I was in a lab setting or not, HC doesn't want me doing what I'm doing, period. But for preparation sake, what hoops should I be jumping through? Are there certifications I should have? Should I be setting up a new lab in it's own room? I get my nic from wizard labs, do I need my own nic testing gear, or should I be satisfied with their own testing?

Thanks!

I'm certainly no authority, but other than the ban on the sale of nicotine products (which keeps me wondering how such trade still goes on overtly), I'm not sure what regulations may exist otherwise.

Given that e-Juice is a consumable product, it's a reasonable assumption that mixologists need to have taken a "Safe Food Handler" course and scored well enough to be certified, and produce their product in a regularly inspected food production facility of some kind...but I'm really just guessing.

I'm not sure that any level of authority lower than HC gives a .... about ejuice. It's not hard at all to google Canadian juice providers, most are out in the open flaunting it now.

I'm kind of thinking any regulations a kitchen would have I should probably be conforming to as well. Or at least that guy who bottles his own hot sauce, or sells cookies. Maybe WHMIS in addition?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! ANOTHER ONE! I just PM'ed "bols2DaWall" to let him know I just mixed my very first batch of DIY eJuice tonight. Comparing notes and swapping recipes locally might be fun.

As the thread is concerned, I'm a restauranteur, and I just know that for us to sell our sauces, the co-packer needed to be inspected. Along the same lines, all our food stuffs at the restaurant are legit because the Windsor Health Unit inspects our kitchen regularly. If I was to prepare some of the product at home, I couldn't legally sell it.

I guess I just assume that some local Health Unit would need to inspect the preparation areas of the websites we order from, or they couldn't sell it...but I guess we'd need one of them to chime in on this.

I have high hopes for ECTA (a newly forming regulatory commission), if the gov't won't legitimize me, it'd be nice to have someone that would inspect my facilities, certifications, that kind of thing. I don't agree with the ban, I am doing my part to convert as many people as I can, things are never going to change in our favor as long as no one has any idea what we're doing.

Have you read the thread? There are a lot of very good arguments on both sides of the issue.

I started reading it when it first started. The arguments against seem mainly from the small guys that can't afford membership. That's the first I've seen the pdf though, that's great, thank you. I'll be reading the rest of that thread shortly.

Setting up a new dedicated workspace seems first in line, and a sealing system for my bottles after they are filled. Nic testing is going to be a tricky one at the moment, I do trust WL's nic, but the hardware to test levels myself is definitely on the list.

Well, if either of you guys need juice, I make good stuff. :D

Ratsey, I know you may have said this in a joking manner, but know that any form of "supplier" type activity would require you to first register yourself as a supplier on the forum. Please refrain from comments such as the one you made.
