So I just received my eGo Twist today, but I had trouble getting my cartos to slide into the cone, and the draw was very tight. So I started looking around to find a solution other than buying a big-bore cone. I didn't want to break out my Dremel, so I was looking for an easier way. Then I saw a post that suggested using a sharpened wooden dowel and pounding it down into the cone to enlarge the hole. Still too much trouble, but I did like the idea of jamming something in there and just forcing it a little. I went into my toolbox to see if I had anything that would work....something that was round and got gradually larger in diameter. Needle nose pliers...Disco!
Thanks to six (post #11) for giving me the idea.
All you have to do is jam the pliers into the small end of the cone as hard as you can, and while keeping constant pressure, turn the cone and pliers against each other. Problem solved, and it took about 15 seconds. The cartos now slide in and out with no problem, there is plenty of airflow to feed the carto, and the draw is right where I like it.
A tiny metal burr did form, so you may need to clean up the edge with a round file or sandpaper. I just used the skin from my finger.
I hope this helps anyone that comes across this problem.
To summarize:
Step 1 - Insert pliers
Step 2 - Twist
Step 3 - Clean up
