There are lots of posts about how to care and maintain the threads in a mod, but very little info on how to care for the threads of your 510 connection, which is what usually gets the most abuse. This is especially important with connections made out of brass, or a similar "softer" metal, with most atomizers being made of stainless steel. Besides just plain being careful with screwing on your atomizer, or using adapters (which makes your device look rather ugly if you ask me) does anyone have any ideas on how to protect these little threads? Has anyone tried any kind of (non-toxic) lubricant?
I ask because I have a mod with a bronze top cap (510 connection and all), which is stronger than brass, but weaker than stainless steel. It was very expensive, so I want to make sure the threads can essentially last a lifetime without having to buy a replacement part (and in some cases, replacements parts aren't even available for some mods, especially with some of the more exclusive high end mechs). I'm sure other people would be interested in this as well.
