Hey all. Kinda new here. I have a eGo T all stock and I'm not sure how to clean my HR atty's. When should I clean them? How should I clean them? How long will they last? Sorry for the noob questions. Just trying to get it right. And what's with the Boge Atty's I'm hearing about? "Hope I spelled that right".

All the best.

Ego tank atomizers don't like to be cleaned, I found. I only did it when their performance or taste was unbearable. Seemed to me that cleaning them always messed up the draw or the vapor production, so it was a last resort.

Boge makes atomizers and cartomizers. Not sure what you want to know about them.

Also, you're using High Resistance atomizers? On an Ego? :?:

This sub forum has info about this stuff. Tips and Tricks

Specifically, i like these.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/69834-my-atty-resurrection-method.html - Dry burning
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rasonic-cleaning-atomizers-very-best-way.html - Ultrasonic cleaning

It's really up to you to decide when they need cleaning. If the flavor gets bad or muted, if the draw becomes tight, stuff like that. They get gunked up over time, and the coils become pretty dirty. Attys don't last forever, so you might not be able to save them, but cleaning works pretty well in my experience.

Boge is a brand name, i cant remember hearing much about attys made by them, but im sure they are ok. They do make cartomizers though, which alot of people like. I prefer kanger cartomizers, or vision clearos.. v510, stardusts, that kind of thing.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast Concat. Yes I believe they are HR, not sure but I got a extra one with my order and it says LR. I haven't tried that one yet. It's all a little confusing at the moment. Just trying to absorb all the terminology right now and make the right choice.

Hey Zeeker,

So basically HR is high resistance, SR is standard resistance, and LR is low resistance. An HR atty would require a higher voltage to get the same hit and vapor as a SR or LR atty. Essentially the lower the resistance, the hotter it vaporizes the liquid. There are limits though, so if you ever get a high voltage device, don't use a LR atomizer of course :)

On just a regular EGo, which is regulated at 3.3 volts, you're most likely going to find that SR or LR atomizers are best. I would be surprised if your Ego kits came with HR atomizers. Usually they come with SR ones.
