because of all the new threads about the new GGTS and the AVS, I couldn't find the threads with the videos. And maybe it is also interesting for other people.
My Problem, I tried to clean my GGTS, especially the adaptor-cap (for me it ist the top...for Imeo the bottom?). I can't unsrew the brass-connector. I know, three was a video, but I cannot find it.
And, my GGSlim...how to clean it? The top and the bottom. I think I haven't seen a video about this. Maybe it is very deep in the history here. I have some problems with it. Sometimes I have no connection, I have to try the button in different ways. I use only protected batteries in my Slim. Any idea?

you can do it with a little effort buddy. Keep tight the cap and unscrew the polygonal base of the connector. You can keep the cap tight with a plastic plier not to damage it.

Your button needs cleaning for sure. If you have already clean your GGTS button then you can do the same prosedure with slim too. Buttons are the same.:)

I cleaned my GGTS-Button with the help of my small fingers (I am a wife). I didn't unscrew it yet. It was not necessary.
But what about the GGSlim Adaptor-Cap? What can I do, that it works all time? I unscrewed it today, the first time I had the small pin and the black plastic in one piece. The second time I had only the small pin and the plastic piece sticks into the connector. What is right?
I would like to fix everything here, because in 3 days....Camping in Greece.

camping in Greece, ok. Where will you go so I can come there sweety?:D

Ok, the issue is on the button as I see it. You have to take it apart to clean it inside. But you can unscrew a little the pin if you think that its an issue of the pin but I dont think so. Please shine the head of the pin and the bottom of the button first. Then try to take apart the button to clean it and then try to unscrew a little the pin. If it will start working ok with the first method its ok. If not try rthe second one and then the third one

Cleaning... One answer.. Mothers Billet.. damn fine stuff without the oily mess.

I must say i have to agree 100% This over never dull and even cape cod cloths. I have them all and this is much less effort and better results in my own opinion. Mothers billet polish can be found at most bigger auto part stores in the wax/polish section for around $16. It will last you longer then never dull and cape cod's. I forget who told me about this on a thred here but its around somewhere. Taking it apart is the key when cleaning. Also you can leave the switch on and try to avoid it from polish getting in it rather then taking it off.

Hi all,

Is it advisable to soak brass and aluminum parts of GGTS in alcohol? I've been using Cape Cod for some time and can't find Mothers Billet here.

I have been trying to clean small parts like switch button but can't seem to clean it thoroughly with Cape Cod only.

use gazoline, it cleans everything sob my friend:)

I didn't talk about cleaning the surface. I thought it would be a good idea to collect all detailled cleaning advices in one thread. Not only the polishing advices. I talk about the important things of the GGs. But okay, what I found out after 3 weeks in Greece, my GGs produced much more vapour there and still 150% of the greek people smokes.

Ultra Sonic jewelry cleaners are awesome as well as the aforementioned cape cod cleaning cloths.
As a side note if anyone buys the new 901 attys from Eastmall try and remove the black paint on them first before using them in the AVS as the juice will strip it and you finish up with black gunk in your juice ;)
