How do people here clean their nickel plated GGs?
I just got my first GG last month, a nickel plated GGTB. It's a great little device, but it doesn't stay shiny more than a couple of days at a time, and as we all know, shiny things work better :)

I know Imeo says that water and a soft cloth will do the trick, but it doesn't work for me. I've tried water, soap, dishwashing liquid, alcohol and vinegar; nothing works!
The only thing i have found to work so far is Autosol, but i'm afraid i'll wear off the plating.

Any tips?

i worry about using a polish like autosol on the nickel plating as well. i guess ultimately it depends on how thick the plating is and how often you use the polish. i've had great luck using pre-lim cleaner on other plated metals, including nickel. only cleaned the GG once after a little bluing and put it away. i use the aluminum for daily use and that's easy enough to regularly clean with autosol or a similar polish. really looking forward to the stainless steel/ inox GGTS. but as far as the nickel plating is concerned, check out Pre-Lim Surface Cleaner, it's gentle and i do think the plating will hold up with fairly regular use of the stuff.

I use autosol. I have used it 5 times on GGTS and is ok. But you said that the GGTB stays clean only for 2 days? My hands are really sweaty almost all day and my sweat is very corrosive too but GGTS stays clean at least 4-5 days at those bad contitions.

Do you sweep it well after the autosol? Do you leave it at least 10 mins to get dry?

If BuGG has a "soft" solution please try it. I dont think autosol will damage it but the softer the better clavit
