How to delete attachements

I have a few photos attached to my account (uploaded to ecf).

When i got into my profile settings - at the bottom i can view the attachments and any active posts i have i can click a check box to delete the attachments but posts that are closed (as in sold classified items) that have pics attached and showing in my "inbox" taking up space are unable to be deleted.

Any idea how i get rid of pictures that are no longer needed and free up space?

I've run into that problem before as well. In my case I just asked one of the mods and they were more than helpful in doing the deletion for me.

you can't delete attachments from threads you cannot edit. But if you need help deleting attachments you can get with me by PM and I can go in and remove attachments for you.

try this...

go to your settings. On the lower left under miscellaneous, click on attachments (it's easier if you show thumbnails). Put a check mark in the box to the right of the images you want to delete. At the bottom right click delete selected attachments.
