How to determine that a cart is spent

This has probably been asked before, but I haven't been able to find this exact answer...

How do I know when i'm about to burn a cart? I'm stingy... so I try to get everything I can out of them. I'm new to vaping and I really haven't been able to figure out what point i should be refilling and what point i've just killed the thing.

The minute you start to taste a "burnt marshmellow" kind of taste - stop vaping and set it aside to refill later, or top off with more juice before continuing.

You know what would be cool, is if the cartomizers had something to let you know when to refill it without burning the stuff inside. Like a little beep or light. That would be tight. I dont see why it wouldnt be a possibility in the future.

You can tell when the taste and vapor production decrease.Then you refill.

I top mine off every couple of days but I am rotating between a few carto's. I never wait for them to get dry. They will last longer but eventually they do burn out or get to the point they are not very usable. Whenever I taste the burnt taste I toss it.
