Ok this may seem like a stupid question to some, but I'm a big proponent of "there's no such thing as a stupid question" so I'm gonna ask it anyway.

I have been refilling carts and just putting them aside (no condom) to vape whenever I please. I was just getting ready to re-fill some and the thought occurred to me ~ I wonder if these were to sit for a long period of time after refilling w/o use (a few days to a week) would putting the cart condoms on them be beneficial in any way?

Do the cart condoms help keep the liquid fresh and prevent possible dessication? Should I put cart condoms on my refilled carts or will it not make a noticeable difference and won't be worth the extra effort? Thanks!

I always put my condoms back on.
From a scientific standpoint, I don't know if/how quickly ejuice evaporates/degrades, BUT everything costs money, so I figure, if they're shipped to me with a condom, I'll put them back on if they are going to sit for more than a day.

I do not re-condom them, if they are in my rotation for that day, but I cap them all before I go to bed.

That's what I do.

I double re-cap my refills and the ones I am not using.

I leave the .... plugs off of the ones I have in rotation, but always have the mouthpiece condom on when not actually vaping. I've read that this may help a little with them not drying out.

But I do this moreso to protect the end that goes in my mouth. I'm not a germaphobe, but I feel more comfortable with that one cap on when I have the cart in my case, or pocket, or car visor, or rolling around on my desk...

The evaporation rate for PG is quite slow, about 1/3 that of water. Evaporation is measured as a relative rate because it depends upon so many environmental factors, but the standard 1.0 is BuAc, and PG has an evap rate of 0.1 that of BuAC and water has an evap rate of 0.3, so relatively, in the same environment, about 1/3 that of water. But if you imagine setting out 1ml of water in a spoon on the counter, coming back a couple days later and finding it gone, then we can figure the same thing would happen to PG in a week safely...

That's the long answer for "yeah, probably best to cap it" :)

I filled ahead for about 4 days worth once, and didn't cap/buttplug them..The -day 3 & 4- carts were dried out. Not unvapable, but definitely nothing like day 1.

I cap/buttplug all of them now, right after filling. Keep in mind, the weather here is cold, the heat is on, and the air is dry. Hope that's somewhat helpful. :)

Very helpful

Alright. What if I took a small cooler and just stored it in there? Would it be better with a small ice pack, or without?

I live in Southern California, in an attic that was turned into a studio apartment...it gets hooot. Even with my AC. Then in winter, it gets freeezing, even with my heater. So just trying to figure out what to do to keep that at a normal temperature year round.

And thanks for everything, family.
