watch this video will help U understand the composition of making e-liquids

http://youtu.be/2nep4_ZF7Mo

The ejuice calculator will help U get yr mixture right & to yr own liking..do download this eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

Hope this will help any1 who wishes to DIY their own e-liquids

All the e-liquid's ingredients except nicotine base e-liquid can be source locally in supermarkets for flavors or more choices from bakery suppliers for flavors & VG,PG (as long as they are food additives or food grade can be use in the making of e-liquids).Only the nicotine base liquid I had to buy from China(or USA).Happy vaping every1:)..regards mafig

Thank you mafig! Yeah, googled ejuice calculator, google linked back to this forum and found this ejuice me up ejuice calculator few days ago. Best and easy to use ever!

My problem getting confused with PV and VG.., which of it makes the taste sweet... which one make me running nose... still trying increase and decrease either PG or VG every 3 ml... haven't find a satisfy one... still looking around for helpful hints and answers in DIY E-Liquid and some other ecig forums everyday.

By the way, mafig. Usually how many percent will you start for the flavors from bakery suppliers? Help will be very much appreciated.

Eric

P/S: Oh, I found something interesting before come in here. This:

..all depends on the flavors U choose...like fruit flavors my mixture can be upto 20%..coffee maybe upto 15% but stronger flavors like "durian" i only need to use less than 10% and still very potent(i still have 7ml left after almost a year since i made it..love to eat the durian but vape not so..hahah..by the way PG is a runny liquid unlike VG is a very viscous fluid..VG for vapor and PG for "throat hits"..my mixture i like is 70% PG/30%VG..good combustion with good vapor & throat hits..also cartomizer will last longer..i am getting 2 months usage be4 my carto lasted about a month especially if the VG is much higher..VG & PG are natural sweetener..must be the sucrose in the making of PG & VG..good luck..hope U find yr ideal mixture..happy vaping :)..regards mafig

15-20%? That's approximate 15-20 drops for 5ml, 30-40 drops for 10ml, according to ejuice me up calculator! No wonder... I did only 5 drops (5%) of cappuccino flavor in 5ml PG/VG, kept getting same sweet taste even I added 3 more drops... I thought it was like Health Cabin flavors I bought, as they recommended start with 1-3%... Hmm... I'm going to try again the flavors I bought from my local bakery supplies. Million thanks mafig!

I also found 70%PG/30%VG is close to my liking. I tried 75%PG/25%VG too, but do you think there any different with that little 5%?

I'm wondering, some people vape only VG... I heard some found it hard to breath if they vape only VG, some got headache?! I saw there's many only VG base ejuices in Lelong.com... asked them how many percent PG/VG and they refused to answer and said that was the secret not to tell...(what the...) Only one told me it's 100%VG!?! I was thinking to buy some from them and distill it to 75%PG/25% and also lower it nicotine level since I can't take too much nic... 12mg of nic gave me lot of headaches and cheat pain... Now I'm vaping Hangsen French Pipe(80%PG/20%VG, 12mg nic) which has distilled to 75%PG/25% 5-6mg nic, no more headache and cheat pain. Taste did missed a lot but still got its nice aroma, TH(I think it's the nic) still there but light, just got more sweet taste(I think it's P/VG)... anyway I like it! Again, thanks to ejuice me up calculator so I can(or know how to) mix it up and down my ejuice!

Eric, sincerely, I believe that the 100% VG is actually like 70% VG + 30% (distilled water + flavor) or even less VG.

I see.., so it's VG+H2O+flavor. Order some for a try... it's from Penang, I think you know who they are. :)

BTW, how about vodka and PGA(Pure Grain Alcohol)? Heard these have good throat hit... Is vodka for ejuice same stuff sell in liquor store? Don't know whether will I get drunk vaping it... :D:D

U R welcome..anything i can assist and help any1 understand i be happy to let U know what i do know OK..try getting a 3ml or 5ml syringes from yr pharmacy, easier way to syringe the liquid and inject into yr bottle rather counting by drops..if U do buy from the pharmacy the syringe, they tend to ask alot of questions like why U want 1?(the pharmacist also think the worst of user for syringe user..hahah)..prepare to come out with a reasonable explanation especially if U want needles with it..now the local phamacist knows me..and i dont have any problem buying the syringe with needles..better when U order yr e-cig online, get some blunt needles as well as local pharmacy sells sharp ones only..yes 20 drops equal 1ml..most flavors locally is not the concentrate type especially the oil base or natural base oil concentrate like orange, lemon etc..that type U need only a small amount like a few droplets..i avoided the oil base as the oil base will separate from PG & VG mixtures and only by shaking the juice be4 using will the mixture combine well..good luck ..regards mafig

I do use the syringes to make my ejuices. No problem buying syringes and needles, they never ask me anything. :D I always buy the largest needle size they have and grind off the sharp head with grinder.
I see... the cappuccino flavor I bought from bakery supplies was an oil base... I needed to add up to 25% to get its real taste... no wonder the vanilla which is water base 15% was too much already... Anyway, I found Health Cabin cappuccino flavor has better and closest to real cappuccino aroma than the one from bakery supplies... or maybe I have to try other different brands flavors.

e-liquids do change in colour over time(known as steeping)..some e-liquids will change immediately because of added colour in the flavor and most will gradually turn darker color as it steep like apple, watermelon & cherry..its a norm when the liquid changes a darker color as U vape esp using tank set-up as MaKaNg said..regards mafig
hi guys... anyone experience the color of the juice color darker? i realize that after a few hours of vaping, my juice in my tank changes color to be darker like Nescafe "o" color. mind to share what happen?

I believe another "offender" is nicotine... it might turns dark when heated, especially in genesis style atty(HOT!)... my cappuccino flavor ejuice(Hangsen) with nic base turned darker and darker to kopi-O... Lemonade flavor with nic base same too... but my DIY cappuccino flavor(clear color) without nic won't change, most of my DIY nic free ejuices never change color, crystal clear till the last drop...

Hi guys, newbie here. I got a question for mafig sifu. I went to sim company n they no longer bring in PG. which pharmacy or any place else I can get PG in Penang island. Appreciate if u could shine some light. Thanks in advance. :)
hi a poc..who did U ask for PG @ Sim Co?..only person who knows what PG or VG stand for is a very mature gentleman(older than me,think he around 65?)..think he is oldest staff there)..he knows what PG and VG is:)..if U look at the cupboard area(take a good hard look and U will find PG but not VG..as will only bottled it when U want/buy..OK) as U enter the shop(just to yr leftside)..U will find PG ready 500ml bottles for sale ..the flavors U will find it next room..so many choices from milk to coffee and lot more..i did order from the Pharmacy in Jelutong,a few doors away from DAP's office)..i was there and just pop-in and ask..no problem just was 3 times the price sold at Sim(be4 i got to know of Sim)..hope U get to find yr PG/VG..but still U need to buy online the nicotine from China..regards mafig

I got another question. Pardon me, I'm a newbie. I went to a local bakery supplier and asked for VG, the only thing they have is labelled as "Glycerine". Are they the same?

Same. VG actually stand for Vegetable Glycerine in vaper world. :D
