I feel kinda stupid askign this question, but i want to do it right. I just got my 510 in the mail today, along with some juice and empty carts. i want to try out my apple (and other yummy sounding flavors) but im not sure exactly how to fill a cart. i have the regular round tip carts for a 510, i also have some blue foam, if that would work better than the filler the carts come with. it would be really great if someone could help me out... like do i take the filler out and fill it? how many drops do i put in? just the basic stuff i need to know. thank you! thank you! thank you!

First off, If the carts came pre-filled then your gonna want to vape them until they are used up. The just drip some of your favorite flavor in there until if pools up on top, then Dab off the excess and plug it back into your 510. Just make sure you line the cart up with the atty. You will see a white thing at the base of the attomizer bridge, make sure you plug the cart in so it lines up.
You might want to get used to that for a while before you move on to a filler mod..

I started on a KR8. Been vaping for a couple of months. I had to find out what the 510 craze was about. Got mine in about a week ago and it is great! I think you made a good choice. Take a few minutes and read this and you will be in good shape..

i do have some pre-filled carts that came with my starter kit, but im eager to try the bottles of flavors i got, so i will be filling an empty cart. alright so just drop it on the filler.. got it. haha, i dropped one drop on, and it just kinda sat there so, i thought i may be doing it wrong. thank you very much

hahaha yeah right?! i think i re-read the tiny piece of paper that came with my 510 about 10 times thinking i missed something (or the whole thing). it tells you everything you already know how to do, but nothing you need to know. luckily there are lots of people here who are happy and willing to help

You put as much juice in as the filler material in the cartridge will hold without pooling at the top of the filler material. The number of drops it can hold will depend on how big your cartridge is, which depends on your model. It also depends on how big the drops are, which depends on the dropper being used.
For me, a 510 holds about 20 drops from a 3ml bottle.
The problem is, if you are just putting drops right on top of the filler material that comes with the cartridge, it isn't going to sink to the bottom without a little help.
There are a few ways to really refill cartridges...
1) Pull the filler out with tweezers, put in drops, put filler back in slowly
2) Use a syringe to fill from the bottom up
3) Use a paperclip or toothpick to push the filler aside while filling
4) Use the straw modification to allow air to flow within the cartridge while filling
If you keep using cartridges you may well move on to a different filler material.
Read up in the cartridge mod subforum for more information.
