I just ordered my first ecig and 2 30ml juices. I got one with all PG and one with 30% VG. Both were not avail in 16mg variety, so I got 24mg. I have never done this before, but am wondering if the nicotine is too high, or even if it's not, if there is a way for me too lower it and experiment with what gets me through the day.

I see they sell PG and VG by itself, but if I just mix with that, won't it lose flavor as the flavor % goes down?

What apparatus do I need?
Latex gloves?
seringe (spelling)?
little plastic bottles?
Some kind of alchohol to clean with?

You will lose flavor by adding unflavored PG or VG. You won't need gloves because you won't be dealing with high nic levels. If you don't want to lose any flavor then the easiest thing to do is add the same flavored juice that doesn't contain nicotine.

You'll also need a calculator like the one you can download here.

It would probably be a good idea to look over the DIY Sub-Forum and get a better idea of how to mix your own juice.

Try it and see....24 mg is my normal vape as well as many others. It'll be to high for some, to low for others and spot on for some. You'll just have to see for yourself.

Yes there is a way to lower it if you want. Get some VG which is available locally make sure it's USP grade. Walmart sells it in the pharmacy section. Add the desired amount to get to the level you're looking for and you're good to go. The only down side of that is while bringing down the nic it'll bring down the flavor also.

Try just diluting the liquid. You're going to add about .5 ml of PG or VG for each ml of nicotine liquid. The flavors might survive that level of dilution.

If not, it depends on the flavor of your liquid. You can add a flavor concentrate to bring it back up to snuff. I like the RWHY4 concentrate from litecigusa for this, when fixing tobacco flavors. If you're fixing something that tastes like juniper, you're on your own. ;-)

At this nic level, don't fret much about safety, but do keep it off your skin as much as possible. I use an oral syringe with .1ml graduations for mixing. You should be able to buy one in the kids' medicine section of any pharmacy. Soap-and-water cleanup is just fine.
