how to get a cooler vape with less throat hit with great flavor?

I have tons of 28G and little bit of 26G left. I'm using cotton wick and with 28g usually do 8-9wraps(gets about 1.2ohms) on q-tip.
Moving coil near air hole helps with less throat hit? I've noticed little less but I was wondering if there is more.

I have Mephisto(authentic), TOBH(clone), CATs(Clone), Magma(Clone), kayfun LITE(Authentic). Mephisto and TOBH is ok but Magma little too harsh and CATs, I just can't get it right. Any suggestions?

I'm using mostly either 50/50 or 40pg/60vg. I have 20pg/80vg too but still getting hard throat hit and warm to hot vape on magma and CATs.

On some of the shorter drippers, try a longer drip tip or an acrylic or one with heat dispersing fins. Short metal will old the heat.

With the Magma, you want the coil as close to the airhole as possible without touching the deck. That minimizes throat hit/maximizes flavor. I use a 1.2 to 1.4 ohm coil and it's a room temp vape with a standard drip tip - what kind of power are you trying to run through it? Anything from 7-10 watts is barely warm on mine. If you're pushing the power higher than that without a long drip tip, that may be part of your problem re: warmth. Keep in mind Hanas/Canas don't have buck circuitry, only boost, so it may be that you have it set to low watts but the chip can't regulate down that low and is just dumping the available battery power directly to the atty (giving you higher wattage than what's being displayed). If your ohm resistance is blinking when you fire it, it's just dumping the battery power.

That being the case, if you've tried moving the coil closer to the air hole and it's still too much throat hit for you, I'd try building your coil a little higher (2.0 maybe) to get closer to the watts you're actually seeking.

If you prefer higher watts but don't like your vape that warm, get a long drip tip.

As well as lower PG higher VG, of course.

I am using my Kayfun lite plus right now on a 1.3 ohm build of 28gauge on a 5/64 cotton wicked at 12.9 watts it is cool and flavorful with low throat hit. Khali vapors devils punchbowl 60 vg 40 pg 6mg nicotine. Lowering PG,nicotine,or wattage may help your situation. Hope something in my description is useful to you.

so in my case I've been extremely happy with my two cats (one clone and liked it so much i got the real thing) I'm using a dual 28g kanthal vertical micro coils that gives me 0.9ohms, I'm vaping it in a hana clone (but swapped the board with an original dna 30) at 20 watts its a cooler cape with a LOAD of flavour, ill post a picture of my build as soon as i take one xD. I'm waiting for a magma that should be coming in thursday or friday and ill give it a try and see, but for now I'm in love with my cats
