I agree lemon juice and vinegar doesnt really provide a throat irritation. but alcohol in small amounts does add some nice tingle.

Has anyone tried using liquid caffeine? It is a similar alkaloid to nicotine so in theory it should produce a similar effect when vaped. I found this stuff on the web, they don't list all the contents of their product, but it looks promising. Ill try contacting them and see what they say.

Miss Vapor, have you tried the Cinnamon liquid from Capella yet? I just tried mixing up a 3ml bottle of no-nic juice and added 1 drop of Juicy Liquids menthol drops to it.....YUCK! It tasted like I was vaping a Halls cough drop, and I could not taste my flavoring- even though a put in 21 drops! It DOES give a slight throat hit...but I am not a fan of menthol.

I wish someone would try this.
Anhydrous (powdered) caffeine might work too.

Have you tried adding lemon juice and vinegar and cutting your VG with high proof vodka as that works for me.

Can you post some recipes please? I went out looking for some everclear and after several visits to liquor stores went home with bacardi 151 - it's definitely altered the flavor of my diy 0 nic juice but still not a good throat hit. I had to break into the box of nasty juices I don't like and vape away at some dekang's menthol to get some throat action.

This thread needs more attention!

Something's very wrong with these 0mg nicotine flavourings, absolutely no TH for me too, just a "fresh" throat hit but not like a menthol fresh kind of taste, it makes me cough and it's no good. Just tried a few flavourings but it's all the same, no TH. I tried vodka with or without black pepper flavouring, doesn't do any good, it's even worse with them, the TH is "fresher".

Even my apple juice as low as 6mg nicotine has a very good TH, more solutions people!

I know FlavourArt is working on and developing a new eliquid (or flavour) recipe that would deliver a throat hit with 0 nicotine...
The project seems to be in progress from few months now but it's still secret.
I really hope they can make it, it would be a big step forward in the vaping world.

Awesome! Let us know if you hear any further news.

ournature : Where did you see that information? Where can we have a follow-up on this? :)

I just tried to get a throat hit with my manual KR808D-1 with these experiments :

1ml of PG with 5 drops of lemon : nothing
1ml of PG with 5 drops of vinegar : nothing
1ml of PG with 5 drops of whiskey 40% : nothing, it's even worse with it
1ml of PG with 5 drops of vodka 40% : nothing, it's even worse with it
1ml of PG with 5 drops of menthol eliquid at 18mg : no throat hit and taste too much like menthol

Finally, I bought some jalapeno, put a small slice with some seeds in 15ml of PG, waited an hour and.. Wow! There's something about it, it's not a nicotine throat hit which last much longer and I actually put a slice too big, the hit is too strong and spicey, I will make more experiment with this tomorrow, who knows, this might just works!

p.s. Is my whiskey and vodka considered Pure Grain Alcohol? Some people reports alcohol for a better throat hit but I find it's quite the opposite, so maybe I'm using something different?

pure grain alcohol is as close to pure ethanol as possible. It's basically flavorless alcohol. Some states will allow the sale of everclear 190 which is 95% alcohol, the closest I can get is bacardi 151, which is 75% alcohol but it still has the rum taste. Vodka is supposed to be good because it doesn't alter flavor so much but I haven't tried it. The bacardi 151 altered flavor, but no noticeable throat hit really. I think next time I play around I'm going to try to take my 26mg menthol and dilute it down to see when the throat hit dies.

When I talked to him, Max asked that this information remain confidential until its release. I won't mention anything else he said, but I would imagine it will work pretty well.

Zurd, you're getting capsaicin from the jalapeno.
