In liquid?

I was thinking you buy it in capsule that you grind in a powder and put in your eliquid.

Try it and give us some feedback anyway, sounds interesting, I wouldn't mind vaping vitamin C right into my lungs, this thing is safe for sure.

I'm sorry, but I'm not talking about Vitamin C. The chemical name for Vitamin C is Ascorbic Acid. Citric Acid is used in various foods like sodas to add sourness and has no nutritional value that I am aware of. It is also sometimes used in home brewed beer or wine, and therefore can often be found in powdered form in stores catering to that hobby. This is how I obtained a bottle of powdered Citric Acid. I'm sure it is also available online for such use.

I tried lemon, vinegar, vodka, rum, jalapeno... only thing that actually gave any kind of throat sensation was jalapeno, but it really is not a throat hit like a cig. It is just a spiciness.. and I would rather not have it. I just tried mixing Listerine cinnamon flavored mouth wash... and it gave me a throat hit... does anyone know if this is harmful?

Probably not good... I wouldn't use it. The TH could either be the cinnamon flavor, mint flavor, eucalyptol, or a dangerous chemical that's literally damaging your throat tissue. Try cinnamaldehyde / cinnamon oil, or menthol crystals / mint flavors instead. And please don't put random things in your e-cig.

Cinnamint Listerine Inactives: water, sorbitol solution, alcohol (21.6%), flavors, poloxamer 407, sodium lauryl sulfate, phosphoric acid, dibasic sodium phosphate, saccharin sodium, sucralose, FD&C red no. 40, FD&C blue no. 1

Thank you PureVapor.

Could you let me know where I can get cinnamaldehyde? I have read from other posts oils will damage your atomizer and your post also does not recommend using Cinnamon Oil. Are there cinnamon oils that are soluble in water.

I've mostly been just vaping pure VG + water only since I crave mostly just the action of smoking. Would there be any safe flavoring that I can use that isn't as expensive as buying LorAnn type of candy flavoring online? Such as juices or anything I can buy from a local Super market?

Thank you PureVapor

Most stuff you find in local stores will have ingredients that aren't good for your atomizer, such as sunflower oil. That part of the guide is a bit outdated, but there have been people who have had atomizer problems with certain oils. This would be because of large organic particles leftover from bad filtration. LorAnn's is usually safe, I just leave the warning because the oils are usually more difficult to work with and are a lot stronger.

You can get cinnamaldehyde here. It's technical name is usually Cinnamic Aldehyde, just make sure you don't buy Hexyl Cinnamaldehyde. They also carry Menthol crystals and pre-dissolved crystals in ethanol. These are much more cost effective than LorAnn's and any local stuff you might find because you need very very little of it to flavor a lot of liquid.

The 0mg one is real cheap, too. One bottle of glycerin from the drug store, one bottle of Cinnamon extract (McCormick) from the grocery store, and some distilled water I use for topping off the car battery when needed.

What do you think of adding
McCormick Cinnamon Extract to e-liquid?
The ingredients are PROPYLENE GLYCOL, ALCOHOL (40%), WATER, AND EXTRACTIVES OF CINNAMON

I just don't know of anything other than nicotine that gives the same throat hit feeling. I have come to the conclusion that it is misguided to try to reproduce it precisely with a common substance, although I probably won't stop trying, and don't want to hinder others from doing so- who knows? Someone may hit on something someday.

I think it is because Nicotine actually acts directly on mucus tissue, causing it to contract (I don't recall my source for this). I'm sure there are other chemicals that are relatively harmless that also do this, but I have no idea what they would be.

Although I believe nicotine in and of itself is no more harmful or addictive than, say, something like caffeine, in a reasonable strength. It's all the carcinogens in analogs that make them such a massive health risk. Nicotine is just one of the principle addictive substances in tobacco. Of course it is highly poisonous in pure form, but it has some relatively minor psychoactive and physiological effects taken by itself, once again, in a normal dosage.

Search in the forums on DIY menthol flavoring, buy a small bag of menthol crystals on ebay and several ounces of PG from a reputable source, and mix up your own menthol.
Not a nicotine TH, but still, you can feel it.
Also, Tasty Vapor Atomic Fireball flavor even at 0 mg.
I've tried home-made pepper extracts and they just make my throat feel raw and my mouth burn like peppers would.

I'm smoking some DK kent 16mg atm and it's giving me a much better TH than my diy FA Desert ship at around 20mg, I can only conclude that there is an ingredient in the Kent providing the harshness I need, that is lacking in the Desert ship..

I'll get to the bottom of it one of these days. :)

I believe that unless you are controlling all variables and test your source eLiquids for nicotine concentration (there is such a test on the forums, although I've never tried it), you can't be sure enough of the similarity of conditions or the eLiquid potency to make that conclusion in this kind of situation. I mean, 16mg and 20mg is, relatively speaking, pretty close- a 20% difference in strength IF the mg figures are accurate. And a whole lot of variables could affect their apparent strength unrelated to specific ingredients. The specifics of variation in atomizers, batteries, the speed you draw in, the density of the eLiquid (affecting the rate it gets to the atty), etc.

I'm not saying the magic ingredient or enhancer is not in there, just saying I don't think you can say that it conclusively IS in there.
