Hello, I tainted my Grand with some awful tasting juice. Not sure where the flavor is sticking around whether it be the tube, or reomizer (working with a new bottle). I gave the Reo a bath in warm water and went back to my go to flavor. I can not even vape on this thing now, it almost makes me sick to my stomach. The juice was in the mod for only a couple of minutes. I wasn't thinking straight or i would have just put a new wick and dripped to test the juice. Does anyone have any tips to neutralize strong/nasty juices in their Reos?

Hi Copterstyle :)
The most common place for the flavor to stick is the o-ring found in the bottle cap. You can boil the bottle cap and o-ring or soak in alcohol. There are several other ways. But the one to start with is after removing the bottle, atty and battery flush the hole mod with very hot water....you can even use dish soap too. You can flush the connector, tube and bottle with 99% Isopropyl alcohol or PGA. Keep us posted.

With most flavors this works. I tried an anisette flavor that I could not get out after repeated washings with soap and PGA, only thing that worked was replacing the bottle and tube.

I made the mistake of trying Pluid. Thankfully, I tried it in one of my drippers before loading up a Reo. It took 3 days of soaking in vodka before the smell & taste was gone. Hopefully the everclear works better than the vodka for you.

Master of Bassets...and not much else.

back when i was drinking, everclear always worked better than vodka...

Alright....I bathed my RM2, tube, o rings, bottle and top, drip tip, and reo in hot soapy water. Followed that up with a soak in everclear for about 3.5 hours. Followed that with a boil and soak in water with a bit of soap. Sat the reo in the boiled water upside down to get the catch cup clean. Then a rinse in hot water.

The smell has drastically dissipated to almost none. The taste....well it been much improved. Before I would get sick after one drag. Now my grand is vapable, but I can still catch a hint of that demonic flavor. It's really not to bad though. I hope in time the "hint" will fade. Next time I will be smart enough when trying new flavors to drip in an atty and not run it through the whole Reo set up. Thanks for helping me save one of my grands!

When I was a curious kid and got sprayed by a skunk I had to bathe in tomato juice. It worked. Maybe a tomato juice bath then some thorough rinsing would work. Just a shot in the dark though.

Hey that's an idea. Wish i had seen that before i got the reo put back together. I swear i seemed like I was vaping a skunk.

Our rat terrier has been blasted more than a couple of times...we use this recipe and it works brilliantly.

EDIT: Bah...Filthy-beat beat me to it.:)

That said, I've run dozens of different flavors through my Reos (including Pluid) and never had a problem with odors (knock on woodville).

I'm willing to chalk it up to my still recovering taste buds and sense of smell (which has actually been pretty awesome lately). Which juices have you found to cause this problem so I know what to avoid?

I want a list in alphabetical order by nicotine strength on my desk first thing in the morning.

I'll start it, then it's up everybody else to get the sort right.

Grenada - description is: Tropical Anise Bombshell - Grenada is very fruity and refreshing your mouth actually goes numb.
I have an almost full 30ml bottle of 16mg if anybody wants it.

Is it no good
