How to join Flat, ribbon kanthal with nr wire?

So i got my hands on some kanthal ribbon and a little nr wire. I dont have a zapper and dont plan on buying one since i got some premade nr r nr ribbon coming in the mail next week.

So i was wondering, does anyone know a good way to tie nr wire with flat ribbon together?

What I wonder about is it worth the trouble to use such a set up? the nr wire might reduce the ohms by ehhhh .005 ohms each leg for a total of .01 ohms? but then again just maybe going 61 mph is faster than 60.7 mph...

I have to agree with this, I haven't seen anyone come up with a reliable way of twisting/bending ribbon Kanthal to NR wire....yet.

Easier to buy it pre-made. Then make your coils. You can get 50 for around $5 in the states or for $2.50 from China.

Okay, lets make it a little clearer. I have Ithaka, current setup sucks donkey balls. Too high ohmage. I pretty much NEED to have nr wires, or did i miss something?

I am just saying that is the way to go. Not worth the effort of doing it yourself for how cheap it is. Better ways to use the time.

Oh well, i guess ill just use the ribbon on my kanger then.

Could be worse. You could be waiting for 45 days for an order to come only for the order to be cancelled. Fasttech did that to me.
