I am waiting on my Volt and just ordered the sampler pack of juice from Johnson Creek. :) I am a pack and a half smoker right now and I have no idea how to know how much of this stuff to keep on hand.

I'm concerned about keeping enough juice around. I also have no idea how long cartomizers last (I have 5 pre-filled coming) and I just feel like an all-out noob.

I am confused at the level of information here there is so much! :) I am wondering if there is a user guide that will help me know how much supply of everything i will need?

Sorry if I am posting a question on something obvious, it's just not obvious to me yet. Thanks!

Those prefilled carts will last 1-3 days depending on how often you vape and you will need to top them off soon. You need to have more cartomizers on hand as each of those will probably last a week each before it starts getting funky tasting. You need at least 30 ml of juice per month more like 60 or 90 ml if you end up being an average to heavy vaper.

Isn't JC 100% VG? That may be hard to use in cartomizers. I recommend you also buy some thinner juice with 30% VG or less. I use 20% or less. FreedomSmokeUSA usually ships pretty quickly - their Flavor range juices have selectable PG/VG. And at LiteCigUSA.net you can get small bottles of Chinese PG juice to try (the tobaccos are decent). If you find a Chinese Dekang juices you like then that makes a cheap backup and decent mixers for thinning VG juices.

You should buy 30ml to start and then try vaping off a single 5ml bottle for a 2-3 days. You will see how far the bottle goes down each day and then you will now about how much liquid YOU use per day. But I recommend you always have at least 30ml onhand and even that is not enough if you use 4-5ml per day. Some shops take 2 weeks or longer to ship juices.

You should also have a spare manual battery, a spare charging cable, spare cartomizers. And for testing juices on Volt I recommend a Volt manual battery with DSE901 standard resistance atomizer and 901 drip tip (atty and drip tip can be found at LiteCigUSA.net). Never put untried juices in a cartomizer. You can also use the DSE901 setup to vape thick juices and ones that don't earn a carto but you like a bit.

Dang! They shipped my order within 2 hours of placing it. :) That is great! Hopefully, I will like this juice and can continue ordering there. Fast shipping is very important to me. Anyway, I guess it doesn't say 100% PG. It just says high-quality PG-based juice. But I'm assuming that's what you're talking about, doormouse?

Once you decide you are commiting to vaping, buy alot of everything that you use. I ran out of supplies 2 weeks into vaping and had to turn back to analogs for a day and a half, it was not cool. Now 2 months into vaping, I have 4 batteries, 9 atomizers, 3 cartomizers, and close to 100 ml of juice. I plan on increasing my battery and atty count and keeping my juice levels between 100-150 ml.

That juice is fine, JC sells both PG and VG so that's probably what was meant above. One you get a grasp on how many ml per day your using you'll quickly figure out how much to have on hand. I generally have a least a month supply on hand at all times. that way I'm not rushed to order and can let new juices steep before using them. I vape about 3ml per day so that's 90ml.

Once you get your stock built up and find what works for you, you can save money. I'm saving lots now but for the first few months until I got it figured out I was in the red big time lol.

It is confusing and honestly, what I've found is that a lot of the information here redundant and is subjective to your own personal tastes and preferences. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally thankful for all of it because we can all post our own opinions and preferences to help ourselves and others. Don't worry about taking it all in, just do the best you can and take the plunge. Once you get going it will all be so much more simple and you'll learn by doing. So if it doesn't seem obvious yet, don't worry, you'll get the hang of it.

I'm not sure on a guide for amounts of things to keep on hand. But I think Renzuli's estimation on ml per day is spot on. I do about 3ml/day myself and Although I'm not a chain vaper, I do vape on and off through the entire day. I think you'll want to order more juice soon if not right now. From your samplers, find a juice you like and then order a 30ml bottle. While you are vaping from the samplers and 30ml bottle, keep an eye on things. Take notice of how much you've used and how the cartomizers are holding up. Cartos can work for weeks but are considered disposable so once one or two of them stop working, you'll know it's about time to place another order.

Eventually, you'll know when to do all of this and will maybe even want to combine your orders so you can save on shipping.
