Hello, and yes, you will often notice both low vapor production and a horrid taste. The taste will be unforgettable and you will not have any difficulty recognizing it once it happens. You should not clean those coils if they are replaceable types --- Simply use your gear for 1 through 4 weeks until you notice either the foul taste or lower vapor production then simply change the coil. Make sure you prime the coil with e juice b4 installing it into the tank.

Yeah, I learned how to prime and all..

Thanks for the answer guys :)

Mind describing the taste if you can (?)
Like lighting an old dirty pair of socks on fire and trying to smoke them.... Not that I have tried smoking socks or anything :)

    Okay :p

Is it because of all the gunk burning (trying to get the phenomenon)

In essence, I believe so, over time you will get residue built up on the coil from the eliquid and that residue starts to combust and that's what gives you that awful taste. I remember seeing it happen a lot when I used to use EVOD tanks (the discoloration of the rest of the liquid in the tank)

    Hey,

new vaper here and really happy that I made the switch.

I was wondering what to expect when a coil needs changing (or cleaning, I use BVC's) ?
Will I notice from the taste or less vapor production ?

    Thanks alot!

ever light up a ciggies filter and inhale??
Aren't you guys described dry burn? For my wicks occasional dry burn is not really damaging thing. Of course I haven't vaped full-strength flavored juice for a long time...
