I hope this is the right place for this. I have a dse905 that I really like however, since the upper voltage from the batt is limited it just does not have the output of my standard batts. Has anyone modified or know how to modify one so that it uses the full output of the 14500 protected batt? Not really looking for a HV mod, I just would like to see it match the output of a standard kr batt.

I just verified that under load meaning i put a resistor in parallel with the output of the 905 I get about 1/2 volt lower voltage than the 14500 battery. I belive that somehow either the led ring is creating a huge power draw or there is a regulator in line to limit voltage, could be a current limiting resistor in place as well. I am taking mine apart to see if I can modify it to reach full output from the battery. any suggestions by someone that has tried this is always welcome.

Ohh I wonder what it's actual load voltage s with a pair of CR2's! if it's closer to 5 I'm gettin a pair. Let me know how that goes, I'm handy enough to do it to if it works out:)

There has to be some explanation because the 905 is absolutely weaker than my stock 510 batteries... on any of 4 types of atties i put on it i can tell.

i get a reading from my 14500 battery by it self on full charge at 4.20v an after putting it in the device and touching the meter leads to the battery conector iam getting a 3.53v output i dont know how much it accutlly is under load because i dont have a tool to test that thats weird

i also have tried to look in there to see if i can take it apart but too much glue your best be is with 2 cr2 in there if some one can figure this out it will be great

I will get a pair of protected CR2's ordered this weekend, and when they arrive I'll test them directly, in the 905, and under atty load of 901, slb901, 510, and cartos.. just to see:)

great iam interested to see what it will read i also order a pair of unprotected cr2 but iam not sure if the protected ones will fit will they correct me??? but i read that they wont and leave about 3mm gap were you screw it together.

because i believe the only protected cr2 out there are the ultrfire 600mah ones and those are 15mm across by 29mm tall.

and the unprotected ones i ordered are the ultrafire cr2 at 15mm across, 27mm tall

There is to much glue and ive tried chipping at it from the inside where the possitive end is but i stop when i accutlly look deeper inside and seen that there is so much glue inthere it can probebly hold up a house. lol

I order some 3v CR2 to mod it and turn it into a 6v device but i know its not going to put out 6v or even near that because i believe there is something programed in it or mybe got some type of regulator in it that when i put in a fresh 14500 battery witch is reading off the charger at 4.2 volts and once i put it into the device before the load it only reads 3.63v that sucks and i dont even want to know how low it is under load.

Did the CR2's. It does make alot more vapor, more than stock batteries for SURE, but not like six volts(which is good IMO)
Will the 905 take 2 CR2s as-is, or is some modification necessary? Madvapes has protected CR2s in stock, and I just might pick up a pair if it's not too much of a hassle to make them work in the 905.

EDIT: Better yet, madvapes has protected 14250s! Two of those are only one or two mm longer than a single 14500, so those are sure to fit. Now if only I could disable the stupid auto-cleaning.

no you have to mod it the only one i an remember that will fit the cr2 was from aqua**** i cant remmeber the name right now but they are sold out and very expencive for it.

If you have a dremel you can drill it out in under 10 min that all you have to do and mabe modify the postive end a little buy removing a little of the inner lining easy.

it is only the original body, the machine is all metal lathe, aluminum, with a small reservoir in addition to the excess liquid that is recovered from the suction, and a switch from touchscreen prodigy V1 which I think should be: 6.45mm Diameter Low Contact Resistance Type with Round Terminal (Radial) SKPL Series/SKPLAGD010,
if it is his thoughtfulness me to switch tact skpl of France I just do not command to check myself.with this configuration on DSE905 is terrible! "
atomizer 510.
