I have an ego-7 i'd like to be able to put a 3ml tank on it..how would i go about doing this? Also can i use the atomizers that i have in the new tank or will i have to buy new ones separately? Are the atomizers the only thing i'd have to replace with a large tank or is there other parts i have to change with them...such a newbie i know. thanks in advance for any information.

What kind of 3ml tank are you using? Are you using a smoktek 3ml carto tank, or a kanger or stardust clearo style tank?
the tanks should just screw onto your ego battery without much difficulty. The atomizers are built into the cartomizers that you inset into the tank (smokteck carto tank). The kanger or startdust style tanks use an atomizer head (which are replaceable). If the tanks are new, I wouldnt worry about replacing them just yet....but do buy a few extra replacement heads (that are specific to your tank style) for future use, when that need arises. Also for a few bucks you can pick up a Ego threat collar that looks great with a 3ml tank. It covers the outter threading and provides a nice "finished" look when running a tank on a stick battery--(for carto tank only) not for use with the kanger or stardust style, these thread onto the outside threads.

I assume you are inquiring about putting a cartotank on your eGo battery. These require the use of a cartomizer that has pre-punched holes in them (tank replacement cartomizers). http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartomizers/343294-proper-terminology-carto-tank-what-lol.html#post7562212

You may want to find an eGo cone connector such as the one in the pic below. It will fit between the tank and your battery, hiding the connection gap and also provide additional support to holding the tank.

You'll also find purchasing any 510 drip tip to be useful to use as a mouth piece.

What set up does that guy in the video have, that's what i'm looking for. after the purchase of that set up what needs to be replaced, the set up I have now, only thing i need to replace is atty head, and battery eventually. so what are the parts that need to be replaced on a set up like that?

You would need to purchase some type of cartotank, which would include a clear tube and two endcaps. A cartomizer is inserted into the bottom of the cartotank through holes in the endcaps, as shown in the first image above. The cartomizer used in a cartotank will need to have small holes in it in order to receive juice from the tank. Cartomizers can be purchased like this from vendors with holes already in them for use in tanks, and are called tank replacement cartomizers or pre-punched cartomizers. One of those is in the second image.

One can also use un-punched cartomizers in these tanks, but before use they must have holes put in by the user using a carto punch tool like in the final picture below. A mouth piece will be needed to use the cartotank, called a drip tip, such as in the third image above.

The only part that will need to be replaced in a cartotank will be the punched carto. The tank can be refilled a few times before needing to replace the cartomizer.

Refer back to the previous posts....Bad covers it his post.

The tank in the video is a carto-tank. This consists of a cartomizer (either single coil or dual coil) and available in different ohms (LR and STD). LR stands for LOW Resistance, usually 1.5 to 2.0 ohms. STD stands for Standard Resistance between 2.0 and 3.0 ohms.
Since you are using an ego battery I would recommend using a STD resistance cartomizer around 2.0-2.5 ohms. The cartomizers are usually sold in packs of 5 (get a few packs) some are DOA right out of the box!!!

Next, if you want to use the cartomizers in a tank system (like pictured above) you need to have holes "punched" into the sides of the cartos. You can buy them "pre-punched" for a little more or you can punch them yourself. There are varying techniques to do this, from a basic nail and hammer to using a punch tool from a store. I use a saddle punch vlave from the hardware store (works great).
