My joker died a couple days ago. The LED still lit up, but I was getting no voltage at the connector. I have already ordered a provari to replace it, but it's at least a week out.
I took the joker apart as far as I could and discovered the cause of the problem. The positive wire had broken at both the atty connector and the point where it was soldered to the board. The wires they use in this thing are absurdly tiny - way too thin for the amount of current passing through them. I want to fix this by replacing the wires with something more substantial, but I cannot get to the underside of the atty connector. Does anybody know how to remove it? It looks like it might be glued (in which case I guess I'm out of luck).
