I was having a lot of problems with burnt cartomizers and weak draws caused by the knob on the bottom of my Smoktech Variable Voltage ego style batteries. No matter how hard I tried to keep the setting in one place it would change itself with the lightest touch or simply placing it in my pocket. My eyes are not that good so putting on my readers everytime I used it was becoming a PIA.
The Fix: Heat shrink 29mm x 2mm
How: Simply cut a small piece of heat shrink about a 1\2 to 3\4 inch wide and place it over the twist knob at the end of the battery. Heat it slowly with a lighter, hair dryer or heat gun until it has shrunk to the size of the battery. I am sure different sizes of heat shrink will work I just used this size because it is the same heat shrink I use to re-wrap 18650 batteries that have become scuffed. Pictures below
