I purchased a pint of 80/20 16mg nic flavorless juice ~473mL. I am wondering how to store it?

At room Temp
Can plain e-juice spoil or grow mold?:
What is the shelf life?:
Will the PG or VG degrade (and if so which first)?:
Will the NIC degrade and when?:

Can or Should I refrigerate or freeze some (in smaller containers)?:
What effect does light have on molecular structure?:
Has there been any stability testing done on e-juice?:

Thanks all

I store mine in 50 mL amber glass bottles in the freezer. Nic is light sensitive, and cold will slow the inevitable reaction of nic with the trace O2 in the liquid...unavoidable reaction, but not significant if the bottle is sealed. PG, VG, and nic to a small extent will leach plasticizers from plastic bottles over time, so glass is preferred. Mold or bugs should not grow in PG, VG, and nic also kills bugs, so there is little worry about baddies growing in juice.

Flavored juices do not store long term very well, as some flavor compounds will break down into really bad tasting stuff. So I store my unflavored nic juice as described above, and make my DIYs as I need them...maybe enough to vape a couple of weeks or so.

The freezer may be on the paranoid side, but my year-old juice is still as colorless as the day I got it. Coloration, BTW, is caused by the formation of nic-oxides...harmless, and generally in very low quantities, but a tiny bit will color an otherwise colorless juice...sometimes rose colored or yellow to brown.

You might find this thread helpful, where I describe how I process and store my 100 mg VG unflavored.

Yep .... followed Kurts directions to a tee in that other thread. I am completely and totally satisfied with the outcome. When needed I take a 50ml bottle of 100 mg/ml out of the freezer, get it to room temp, and reduce it down to 25 mg/ml. I see absolutely no difference than the day I bought it, 6 months ago or so.

Another "Thank you" Kurt.
