Inhale. Get nicotine and exhale vapor. Anything else to it?

That is pretty much the the way the system works.

Atomizers die in a few months or less depending upon usage. Your girlfriend is such an infrequent user that her atomizer continues to live for so long. I kill penstyle atomizers in less than one month.

An atomizer is dying if it produces little to no vapor any longer. I will generally pitch them at this point, often sooner. If you run them to the ground, they will no longer heat at all.

Well speaking about atty's going strong.

Please, someone out there tell me that they are also wearing out an atty within a few weeks using a PT.
I have a manual 510 PT for about 4 wks and I seem to be killing my 2nd atty. I tend to use 1 atty exclusive to the PT and another with a manual battery.
I use the PT at night and weekend and use the bat during the day at work so the PT atty gets more use. I guess I expected the attys to last longer, I don't think I vape THAT much.
I would guess it's obvious why the attys are being worn out but is anyone else killing attys with a PT?

I realize this post is a bit old now but first time reading this thread. :)

What kind of PT do you have? One with the inline battery or the style without the inline battery? The ones without the inline battery run your atty at a voltage higher than it was designed for, which could certainly kill your atty quicker.

I have been using my 510 & PT (with inline battery) for almost two months now, and being off work for an injury, I literally use the PT *all day*, and I am yet to kill an atty. I do tend to puff on it more though (probably because I know I won't have to swap batteries every hour) but when I notice it getting hot, I put it down for several minutes.
