My collection of juices is growing and want to know how to test a flavor before I fill up my carto/tank/clearomizer.

I read you pros drip to do that. How do I do it? I am invested in ego batteries and am creating an order from VapingZone for shopping list. Can you tell me what to add, without spending a fortune. Need somethiing quick and convenient to quickly test flavors without a lot of hassle when changing from one to other to test.

Get a few regular dripping attys (i.e. hh357 like eagarcia mentioned, aero bridgeless, or generic cisco spec attys from avidvaper.com). They won't cost you much ($8-$25 depending on which model) and I would keep a few spares around. Also get some vinegar and baking soda to clean them between uses to keep them nice and fresh for when you want to test new flavors.

get a hh357 for dripping or fill up some cartos

I can't go along with getting a 357 for just testing flavors, you simply don't need the best atty on the planet if that is all you intend to do with it. An atty that came with an old starter kit will work just fine. You can even use an old stardust or viva nova if you wish. Just drip a drop or two directly on the coil and vape it. If you like it then fill your carto or tank and vape away.

Best atty on the planet? I don't know about that. And doesn't it stand to reason that if you want an accurate flavor check then you would want to use a quality atomizer? There's no doubt the .357 does better on flavor and vapor than plenty of crapomizers out there, but isn't that a better reason to use it as your test?

It isn't going to taste the same in a carto anyway regardless of what atty you choose to use. You are just trying to get an idea of what the flavor tastes like.

Too true, too true. Perhaps zzipy SHOULD get a .357 then, if for no other reason than to forsake cartomizers. Just my :2c:

I got annoyed with priming attys so they don't produce dry hits or flood. I now only use them to test strong-flavored juices that smell awful. Instead of attys I use the Kanger M3 clearomizers to test most of my juices. I find they have a very clear flavor that rivals dripping.

To clean the M3s I rinse, soak overnight in vinegar, rinse well and leave to air dry. They take a couple of days to air dry but I bought enough of them so that isn't a problem. Alternatively, you can dry them with a blow dryer on low.

Now you got me laughin'! But of course I drip over 90% of the time, so of course I use 357's, io6'es, and 901's.

As far as cleaning atties, I use the KISS method. On a daily bases I just flood the atty and blow the crud out. Then once a week or so I soak it in alcohol, and then blow it out & dry burn if it needs it. Most important is NEVER put an atty away dry! Always prime it with juice before putting it away.

I just use an atomizer from a cheap lookalike starter kit and one of the starter cartridges converted into a tube. I suppose some day I'll buy a drip tip. My thinking was less about being cheap and more about not having to order something and wait for it. Besides, all I'm really trying to do is figure out if mentholated cinnamon is as gross as it sounds.

Actually that's a good flavor, it has the sensation of going in hot and coming out cold. (fire & ice)

If you don't wish to drip on attys, get a pack of ce2/ce3 that look like these. Different vendors call them different things, so that's why I'm including pics. You can find them either in the cartomizier or clearomizer categories.

    ce2.jpgce3s.jpgce3.JPGce2-1.jpg

The size of a cartomizer or shorter, no polyfill to taint flavor, unlike a carto can be used with different flavors, reusable by filling-testing-emptying-rinsing-refilling. About $10 for a 5-pack.

I drip 100% of the time -- though I may be buying a genesis RBA soon, so I wouldn't be able to say that anymore. But for quality I use RBAs exclusively. Flavor and vapor are miles above non RBAs, especially dripping RBAs IMO.

RBA Like and ERA or FattyV2 is a great way to test juice flavors as well as just use either of them to vape with, they vape great, but very simple to just pop off the top cap and run the wick/coil under very hot water, do a dry burn and pad the silica wick with a paper towel , then drip or feed a new flavor into, dont even have to change the coil if just testing new flavors.
