HH.357 Long Barrel Hybrid 510 Atomizer - Avid Vaper is a fine atomizer, but $22 is steep for something you may not even like if you purchase it. I would recommend going with a $4-6 regular 510 atomizer to start with. If you feel the need, you can always purchase a 'higher end' atomizer down the road.

I'll put my Kidney Puncher long barreled 1.5ohm atomizer (or for that matter a Shifu Vapage atomizer) against Ciscos for flavor and performance. I know Cisco will rebuild your 357 for a flat $5 fee if it ever needs it, so there are advantages to the Cisco product. I just don't feel comfortable recommending a $22 atty as a first purchase for any new dripper.

Not hating on the 357, like I said, it is a fine atty, but there are others that are as good (or very close IMO) and for much less.

EDIT - The kidney puncher atty I linked to is an unsealed type - this means it has a hole in the bottom. If you over-drip, it will leak a little. If you prefer, they offer the same atty as a sealed type that will not leak.

Hope this doesnt sound to newbish

Can you drip with a vision spinner 1300 or do you need something with bigger battery?

I started dripping with my vision Spinners. I wouldn't say it was ideal, but yes, it can be done. Just be super careful you don't get juice down the top of your battery. Buy a sealed atomizer or use a 510 to 510 sealed connector to make sure any over-drips don't work their way down into the battery. I'd also recommend maybe using a 2.0ohm atomizer (or above) so when you turn up the voltage, you are not putting too much stress on the battery.

Now if you wanted to use an rda as many have suggested, you can do that with a spinner too if you like. I used my Igo-L for a while on a spinner. You'll have to get a multi-meter or a cartotometer or something to check the resistance of your builds and I'd advise you to stay around 1.8-2.2ohm coil resistance too to make sure you don't put too much stress on your battery when you turn up the voltage.

Most RDAs have a sealed connector so you'll not have to worry too much about getting juice down into the top of the battery either.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend using a spinner for dripping, but it can be done safely and successfully.

Finally, welcome to the forum Jim :toast:

You can direct drip with any kind of battery, even a cig-a-like. That's how direct dripping got started. People were getting frustrated with the lack of flavor and vapor with the cartridges that were all you could buy at the time, so they pulled out the filler and started dripping directly onto the coil.

ETA: I learned to drip on a standard 650mAh eGo. It was all I had. I never had any problems, but I didn't know I could. I hadn't heard about ECF then. ;)
