Mostly it is just getting used to it, but it's possible to lose some attys along the way. First, get a clear 306 drip tip so you can see the juice. I do the usual squonk and then a short unpowered hit to pull the juice on through. I like to see just a tiny layer of juice over the top of the atty. Lots of people seem to juice it almost to the top of the mesh, but I don't like it that wet, and that is when I get juice in my mouth. I find myself taking a short unpowered hit before most hits to make sure there is juice in the atty, so it avoids dry hits. I'm not sure that is clear enough, but feel free to ask for any explanation.

Its just trail and error ... they do perform much differently IMO.

I find the 306 pretty much worthless except for the 2Ω which you have.
I enjoy that atty quite a bit.

I give them a good soak with about 7 drops and let them sit for 10 or 15 min
Then a quick little squonk and I'm off.

I feel like they need less juice than a 510 to perform properly ....
I cant make a 1.5Ω 306 work to save my azz!
The 1.5 needs more juice to not burn, but then your at the flooded stage.

Stick with it, it can be a great atty once you get the hang of it.

I tend to do the blind squonk with 306 and cartos ..... but I watch for the juice with 510s :)
(Blind Squonk = squonk while drawing air without the button pressed)
Once you feel any resistance in the air flow stop squeezing and you should be good.

LOL, that is why there are so many different popular attys and cartos. Everybody has something that works well for their style of vaping and gives them the flavor they like. I seem to have the hang of my 1.5ohm 306's; 510's are reliable and easy to get along with; 801's are another beast altogether (I was an 801 dunce). I used Boge 2ohm cartos on my eGo and loved them, but haven't tried them on my REO yet.

I used a 306 on my Mini and Grand. I would do a blind squonk, then blow out the excess juice. The juice ends up in the catch cup. When I would push the button to fire it the first few times I would just take easy draws. Worked fine for me, but I did it this way after getting alot of juice in the mouth. Live and learn.

Yep :) to each their own .... 801s are a fun learning project It took me 3 months off and on to get that one down.

Get those cartos on you REO and give it a shot :)

I have my first ever 901 on the way right now ... with drip shields too.
That should be fun :)

LOL, as you recall, I ended up with a native 801 Woodvil getting a sex change :) I only gave it a few days, but it was a few days of incredible frustration.

I'll have to give the Boge cartos a try. I was holding it for emergencies because I only have one. I gave my stash to my eGo loving brother when I got my first REO.

Please report on the 901. I really am kind of in love with the look of the drip shields :)

I really like my IKV 901. It has a much looser draw than my IKV 306. Both offer great flavor from my Boba's.

Tight draws frustrate me. If airy draws tick you off, don't spend a lot on 901's. Buy one, try it, go from there.

I'll be buying more. :thumb:

Cool, cant wait to get them. I like a more airy draw ... thats why I enjoy the Boge cartos so much I think,

I use a 306 with a drip tip. Squonking for me varies as the juice in the bottle gets lower. When the bottle is full when I sqounk almost all the juice feeds up into the atty. With my grand as the bottle gets less juice in it more goes into the catch cup and less up to the atty. Its a balance between the juice in the catchcup and the juice in the atty. As the pv sits juice will flow down from the atty back into the catchcup. You should never fill the catchcup with juice. Sometimes I'll dry squonk to get the juice up into the atty before I hit the fire button. When the bottle is full less juice goes back down into the atty as the Reo sits and more juice flows back into the catchcup from the atty as the juice in the bottle gets lower. At least thats been my experience.

Having said all that its not nearly as complicated as it sounds. I don't even think about it any more, I just do it. You'll get a feel for it. I find 1.5 Cisco 306s impossible to flood. You can get too much juice in it and it'll fire and give a good hit but juice will end up in your mouth...uggg.

If you see juice part way up the mesh when you do a dry squonk(without firing) then you should be able to get a good vape. I just keep on vaping until I sense something changing in the vape, then I squonk again.

I have clear tip. Do you mean to keep squeezing until you see juice almost up to the mesh in the atty? I was afraid to put this much juice in. Or do you mean to fill the catch cup on the mini? Thanks.

If your drip tip fits correctly, you shouldn't see juice in the catch cup when you squonk. I just like to see a little sheen at the top of the atty housing/base of the mesh, not to the top of the mesh (that would be flooded)
