Just got my first mod and not familiar with the 510 atty and cartridge. I have been using KR808D cartos on another ecig and need to figure out how to properly use my new setup while waiting on a Liquinator tank to come in the mail.

While trying the mod out last night I was just dripping three drops at a time on the atty, working fine, but had to add drops too frequently. How do you use the cartridge? Does it hold more liquid and feed it to the atty?

Thanks in advance for helping the newb!

GotVapes PumpCart 1.5ml Smokey Clear Cart for 510 Attys - 4 Pack [gv-pumpcart] - $4.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

When you use a 510 atty with a mod, you'll go through liquid like crazy. A cartridge is a PIA on the little 510 and while there are some filler modifications you can use (aquarium foam to replace the filler like AquaClear) I haven't found anything else that works as well as just direct dripping in the atty or using a Pumpcart. It's answer for getting that great flavor from dripping while having the convenience of a cartridge. I love these and don't use cartridges anymore. They hold 1.5ml.

LOL TJ you're probably right.

Should add if you do use the stock cartridges/filler that comes with the 510 atomizers, get in the habit of also putting 2 drops inside the atomizer on the bridge every time you refill the cartridge too (and you'll still refill a lot, just slightly less than fiddling with dripping).

Keep the polyfill inside the cartridge fluffed up to the top of the cartridge with a pin, bent paperclip or toothpick to keep it wicking well.

When I first started vaping, I, too, was using the carts and did learn to fluff them up with a bent paperclip. I might have had more success with the carts had I added 2 drops directly to the atty. I think that's a good tip. Except for when I'm using my Reo Mini, I have been dripping.

Ive just not had ANY luck!! Im a carto girl (till I find something else, still looking!). I tried again last night, replacing the stock filler with filler from one of my good (but dead) cartos. First three draws were good, then BURT taste!! I didnt try drips on the atty first though, but ya know... done with it!!! YUCK, NOT WORTH IT!!

I started using an 808 with carts, then tried the clearomizers. I liked the clearomizer ce2's but they were very fragile, so then I tried the new Fluxomizer's. The fluxomizers are much more durable. Then I decided to try a Mega T-Rex 510. I have since tried my 808's carts on the 510 battery with an adapter and have found that they seem to perform better with the higher capacity battery.
I tried dripping, but it seems to have a metallic taste. Is there something I should be doing to the atty before using it that will eliminate the metallic taste?

Brando-I have a vid on the Ego (510 atty and cart-510 beginners tutorial) and filling the cart and show moving the filler around to get it to soak up-seeing is better than reading-Link under my sigline. Also, search you tube-you'll be amazed at how many videos you can find. Hope it helps a bit.

Just watched your beginner's vid, great job! That helps alot, had no idea you could get that many drops into a cart and I didn't know you had to align the square part to the atty. Thank you, HzG8rGrl.

Aligning helps with keeping the plastic cart from melting from taking long inhales (puffs/hits/tokes/pulls) - glad it helped a bit!
