I have 3 flavours that I think will go well together, but I don't know what strength of each flavour would make it pop.

    These ingredients are:

    Double chocolate TFA
    Irish Cream FA
    Marzipan FA

    any suggestions?
Hello. You are coming out of the gate with some really strong flavors.

According to ELR, you might start low and see where it takes you. It's advisable to make small nic-free batches, and you might need to wait at least a week or two for the flavors to really develop.

    Double chocolate TFA: 2-3%
    Irish Cream FA: 1.5-2.3%
    Marzipan FA: 0.8-1%

    Hope this helps.

Smac's numbers look like a reasonable starting point. Though I agree, the Marzipan might be a tad High.

Whatever Percentages you use, I believe that those Flavors (in combination and by themselves) will benefit from a Sweetener.

So, I made my first batch of this about a month ago, and I restrained myself from vaping it all at once. It tasted fine, but not really balanced. I had gone with 5% Double Chocolate, and 3% each of the other two flavors. Of course other palates might find the result on the strong side, for me it was only a little heavy. As it steeped it did become a little dry after 2 weeks, but balanced out as I reached the last parts of my batch.

This second batch I have lowered the percentages to 4% Double Chocolate and 2 % for both the marzipan and Irish cream. However, it is not a proper comparison since when I mixed it this second time, I had a hankering for some English Toffee as well. So I added a little ET for a bit of a kick. It has only been a couple of days steep on this batch, and the chocolate definitely leads flavorwise, followed by a mid-range of the English Toffee.

With the first batch the marzipan and chocolate were on the forefront of the flavor profile. With the second, the Irish Cream and Marzipan are there, but a little subdued. I am expecting them to present a little more as the mix steeps, yet I am finding that these flavors seem to ebb and flow.

At this time it definitely has a home made character, (in other words, its okay for me to vape, but I wouldn't want to force it on anyone else :) ), but others would probably do well to use only 2 thirds of the percentages that I have. Anyway, its a work in process, and we'll see how it goes.

Thanks for reporting back, I look forward to hearing more. The only original recipes I’ve mixed were a smoked banana custard and coconut pear custard; both marginal. The coco pear was better. Maybe there was a pineapple upside down cake in there somewhere.

Thanks for the update, and looks like you're making good progress.

And, well, you're mixing for yourself, not for sale. If it tastes good to you, that's all that counts ;)

It's quite often the case that lower percents work better, so not surprised there.
