How you know when your ego twist is going bad?

i got a vivi nova with a fresh 2.8 ohm head on. my juice is getting a burn taste after 1ml of juice. i think it might be my ego twist not
putting the right volt when i set it. my ego twist is about 4 months old. i set it at 4.2-4.4volts. everytime i vape it, it seem different each time.

maybe it's going dead and needs a charge?

does it still take a while to charge like when it was new?
there is the chance that after that longin use it is giving it up.

I would be more inclined to believe the nova just isnt wicking when the level in the tank drops. try tilting it so the head is in fluid when you hit it.

when i clean the tank there is a lot of guck build up on the coil but this is a fresh head. just amaze how fast it builded up after 1ml of juice.

I think its the vivi nova not the ego? But that's just because I always end up with a burnt flavor out of a vivi. Try it on another battery? But the only way to truly know is to test your battery....

Some juices gunk up faster than others. Dark juices tend to gunk up faster then clear ones.

But if it is the vivi nova you will be stuck with a nice new provari that still gives you a nasty vape?!? You spent the bucks on a battery why not spend a few on some atty and cartos and maybe a rebuildable atty to see what works for you! The vivi is not for everyone.... Just my 2cents....

With each battery, if I turn it down to 3.7 volts the problem goes away. I was thinking the resistance on this 2.4ohm head must have decreased by a lot, but I don't have an ohms meter so can't test that theory. Do you have a way to test the resistance of your head?

also if vaping too low or high a V it can lead to gunk building up faster as well.

it will chage with use up or down.. the other thing to remember is a nova head almost NEVER matches the resistance written on it lol

I just cleaned and dry-burned mine today, didn't help. But yeah, I remember seeing somewhere that the nova heads can vary a lot from what's written on them. So glad I can dial the batteries down!

Well you got that accomplished

Anyway, this has happened to me with new heads when I got excited and just started vaping away after I filled up the tank. Now I tend to let the juice linger in there for a minute or so and take a few primer puffs. Not sure if that actually does anything, but I haven't had a bad head since.

Have you used a multimeter to see what volts the Twist is reading? Or metered the ohms on the Vivi Nova to see what its actually reading ?
