I'm going to start with the obvious statement that you can't make anyone do anything they don't want to....
and the best way to get something done is to lead by example..

But since I have switched to vaping I could not be happier.. my girlfriend still smokes analogs... which doesn't bother me.. it would just be nice to see her make the switch..

She's tried a few puffs and said it was too harsh for her.. so when my VV gets here i'm going to play around with some settings and have her try it..

I'm not really looking for advice as much as I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience/ if your partner made the switch etc....

I've been married for 38 years...so my story my not apply. I was a 40 year 3 pad smoker and my wife a 1 1/2 pad smoker. I quit in 3 days and she was excited to get her own kit and get started...so my example swayed her. The biggest problem was finding the right juice. She hates mine and I hate hers. She was fine once we went thru a bunch of samples, and she found something she loved.

She's a HHV tobacco girl...and I'm a fruity guy. (well that didn't come out exactly like I planned)....I like fruit flavors. (that's a little better)

I have found that lower nic = gentler hit. Flavors that were too strong for me at 24mg are absolutely delicious at, say, 6. :) Just for thought.

:D well put! ha. I think that's probably the way it's going to go, i have a few sample packs on their way in the mail.. with a lot of diversity so hopefully she can find something she likes. Thanks for your input!

Thank you samazon! As much as i like nicotine i forget that other people may not need to be floored by it! haha

Well, by the time I started permavaping I was a pack/3days. At my highest point I was 2PAD, but I'd been trying to quit for a while when I came back to vaping for good. I overestimated my nic need... at three months vaping only, I'm down to six mg and have suddenly found 10 flavors I LOVE... when I started vaping it was ALL flavors I could tolerate but didn't like much.

Chalk it up to nic, or to tastebuds, or to finding the "right" vendors for me, but I KNOW when I vape 18mg/24mg now it hurts my throat a LOT. I choked on some guy's vape at the last meet, and it was 18mg.

Mine has been off and on vaping since I got started years back. It took good juice, a simple easy to use setup, and constant nagging to get her off them. I'm buying her a provari with Carto tank since her ego tank setup has been in her words "easy but inconsistent". She always jacks my setup so I know it will get her off the 1 analog a day she still sneaks in.

Hopefully in the samples you are waiting on there is something she likes. My wife and I quit analogs on the same day. I like to tinker so the more advanced works for me, she doesn't like to tinker and enjoys her twist with Kanger MT3's. Obviously if she doesn't want to quit it won't happen but if you can hit a brick and mortar store to get her looking at some different options it may help the process especially if she has the ability to taste different juices on site.

Good Luck!

I just sat there vaping by myself for a couple months trying different juices. Every once in awhile, I would say "wow! Peanut butter chocolate! Yum". Then a couple of days later, I might say "hmmm. watermelon. Not sure about this one ". Or "French vanilla cappuccino. Makes me want a Cuban coffee."

Worked like a charm. ;)

Funny, my wife was the one that decided that she wanted to try them. I reluctantly agreed. They were tobacco store cigalikes. It was one of those "I told you these were going to suck" things. Then I got on youtube and ecf and I could see that you could refill them. It sunk in that it would be a lot cheaper. We returned the cigalikes which were like $80 a piece and got a couple egos from a B&M near us with some juice and I was convinced lol.

My husband just kept showing me the new options as he found them. It was my idea to switch using the Mistic kits from Walmart. I hated them and was done looking. He kept going and eventually found the ego/clearomizer set up that I loved until recently. Same with the e liquid. When he switched to rebuildable atomizers I thought he was being ridiculous, until he bought a rebuildable dripper and I switched again. I still think that it's funny, though, that if he likes a liquid I'm sure to hate it and vice versa. I think we have one or two we agree on.

Well it was my idea to give a second try this time. My husband was off the analogs right away. For me it took a few days. It wasn't because I wasn't ready or didn't want to. I just didn't have a flavor I loved yet. My husband went to a store and picked out some stuff that he liked, but I wasn't blown away until I had waffle e-juice. After that I didn't have another analog.

I have been vaping for a while and my girl has always hated it saying the flavors are weird or they are too harsh. But I gave her a VG based juice to try (Boba's Bounty) because I thought it would be a little smoother and she loved it. I bought her a little ego-c kit and she actually uses it (Im surprised). She is mainly vaping an apple liquid. It takes some time, and you can't force some body, but if you find the right juice combination and they are willing to try it there are so many options out there that you are bound to find something that they will like.

My wife thought it was silly to be honest. And I wasnt trying to convince her of anything or even get her to quit. I figired she would quit when and if she was ready. She had no intentions on quitting the stinkies either, at a pack and a half a day of roll your owns.
I asked her if she would go for a ride with me one Saturday afternoon to the nearest brick and mortar store . It is an hour away. We made it a day thing and invited my brother (who is a vaper) and his wife to go along with us. There are two vapor shops in the city we were going to visit, along with stores that the girls really wanted to visit. So we intended to hit both shops while we were there.
The first stop, my wife made comment of all the delicious looking flavors and that I should get something that she could try just for the heck of it, so I told her I would be more than happy to buy her her own complete setup if she would like. She declined saying that she wouldn't use it enough to warrant it. Then at the hardware counter she noticed that they had different colors in the little ego passthroughs. I offered again to buy for her, while trying to convince her that it would be great at work cause she could vape inside when she didn't want to go outside when it was below freezing. Never mentioning anything to her about quitting smoking.
She still felt it would be alot of work to maintain the equipment, and I told her " I will take care of it for you and make sure it always works when you want it". She was actually pretty excited to get the setup, a nice 650 mah PINK ego passthrough with a vision ce4 clearomizer and about six liquids that "looked tasty". We purchased the kits and proceeded to the next vape shop.
On the way across town, my brothers wife wanted to "try it" as the curiosity was killing her. She seemed to like it as well, so When we arrived at the next shop she was ready to get a kit for herself as well. So my brother bought her a kit to "play" with and see what might come from it.
Well ,the entire rest of the day consisted of a cloud filled vehicle reminiscent of a cheech and chong film, and everyone got completely overnicced. Which I think was a good thing, cause the girls finally said "uncle" and couldn't vape any more for a while, and that showed them that it really could replace the cigarettes.

Never once did I say anything to my wife about quitting or laying off the cigs. Over the course of the next three days, she started to smoke less and less, and on the fourth day she proclaimed " I havent had a cigarette in over 24 hours, Can you believe it?" My comment to her, "Wow thats fantastic. And you weren't even trying to quit were you?" (hehehe).
My wife has not had a cigarette for over three weeks now and I dont see her going back. She is actually talking about having "Vape Parties" this summer where everyone brings a bunch of juices, and possibly going to some Vapemeets as a weekend get-away..

Yup, shes hooked too. Oh Lord what have I created. hahhahahahaha .

Give it time and don't push it, same philosophy I had raising my children. The more you push someone , the more defiant they will be.
