Hi anyone that may possibly be out there, seems South Africa forum is a tad on the quiet side (??) “helllllooooooooo” hears echo echo echo J

Anyhoo thought I would just stick my head in here and relate my hubby and my experience so far, perhaps get some advice??

So far 1 week into vaping and really enjoying it. I did a little research, tried to find suppliers that were convenient and ended up going to Twisp – Cavendish kiosk J Got myself the Classic and hubby the Dura-C, so far so good, just the Classic pt is not working, had the battery replaced once already and it died again. Will probably take it back and get it swapped out perhaps just get another normal battery and skip the pt completely.

Only issues I am currently having is the taste – not sure if it is just the Twisp juice or what but I cannot taste the flavours at all really (the juice is vg and I have ordered from USA a couple of the organic flavours from Vaperite. Will keep you posted on that.

I have also taken a look at eciggies in Pretoria. Considerina 1. Purchasing the Joye eGo to try out and 2. … and here it would be great to get some feed back on their juice (??) – though I have to say I am MOST impressed with Vaperite (even though it will probably take about 2 weeks to get the juice LOL!)

Now the for us surprise! I decided to get hubby and I the pv’s to *cut down* even by 50% - I was a 25/day smoker and hubby a 50-60/day smoker. I am down to 3 -5 per day and hubby is down to 10-20 per day now. I lit up a morning analogue and OMWord did it taste nasty. … so now I am sitting with 8 pack’s of analogues and wondering how long it’s going to take me to get through them – with out vaping that would have been a no-brainer probably 5 or 6 days, now I am thinking perhaps that in months!!

Would be nice to make contact with some of you Souffff Effricans!

Congratulations.

It's not that we are very quiet - we are just a few guys (gals?) and we post every now and then. At the moment there is a storm of posts going down!

The EGo style PV is the new benchmark. Walter or Tanya at eciggies will hook you up (open 12/01/2011 I think).

their Dekang juice is a good as it gets - many VG based flavours as well.

How much is shipping from vaperite? Keep us posted!

Happy vaping!!

Hi Nomdo
Yeah I guess we are a bit slow on the up take here in the south - african time right? Hope things pick up here, will be nice to star inter-acting like they do in Auz etc ... ie swapping juice etc.

*cough* I guess I ordered enough juice from Vaperite for it to be FREE :) *cough*
I have seen a lot of Dekang juice refered to - will give it a try I guess, but I have about a litre arriving now from Vaperite hahahahahahahahaha! kidding, will give Dekang a try.

side note: <DAMMIT I keep picking up my pen or pencil on my desk and trying to smoke it>

Excellent will call eciggies when they open again. Out of interest I have tried the Twisp eGo and *pffff* did not really see the appeal, perhaps I am missing some thing? I have no problem with changing battries, dripping or re-filling - all I want is TASTE, I want to taste the flavaz :)

Good to meetcha!

Maybe we can start something in the line of exchanging?

Maybe BartS, Tamakachi, Doug_D, Gavin, 2flicks, Sprint, Barkingmad and even Mike might be interested in exchanging. Maybe you can start an exchanging thread.

I have atomic cinnacide from Tasty Vapor that some-one can take off my hands. Its is very much like a fireball, even gives your mouth a numb feeling, but its not for me.

About the ego - its ok with the normal 510 atty, great with the LR atty's - Doug says the Huge cone or cylindrical atty is also nice, I don't like them much.

Flavour, TH and Vapour is great with the LR atty's - if you really don't care for throat hit and prefer pacifier vaping, you're prolly better off with the normal resistance atty.

My minimum standard for batteries is north of 500 mAh so I would just be frustrated with any of he smaller models (for continuous use), but the 510 (Dura C) batts are excellent for the 45 minutes before the battery dies. :)

Sound good, will start a thread regarding hw and liquid exchange. What you don't like could be a BLAST for me and vice versa, also good way to try things out.

You may well have an old model pv that you no longer use ie the Dura C that would be great for spare parts for hubby.
Be kewl to get to that point :) Take a look in the Auz forum how they do it.

I am still a little new and not exactly sure how to for example go back and edit a previous post of mine.

Hey Leyla, welcome to the forum.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your vaping.
Most of us here have been off the analogs for over a year, I know Nomdo recently reached the 1 year mark and I'm on the year mark now too.

Check out the forum for different places to buy liquids. Twisp is rather expensive and their liquids aren't that great.
You can find a lot of cheap liquids on bidorbuy. SAliquid sells some very inexpensive good quality liquids (Deep Forest) on bidorbuy, you might have better luck with those.

As for ecigs, my favourite is the twisp stick.
The two best ecigs in SA seem to be the Twisp stick and the Twisp ego.

Hope you find the ecig setup that works for you.

Maybe I should try the Stick, LOL - Can one only get it from Twisp? or Import from Janty (UK/US)?

Interesting :) What exactly is the Twisp stick? I have the Twisp Classic and Hubby has the Twisp Dura-C.

Just out of interest did any of you guys have issues with transissioning ie mood swings, agression, stress, tension, panic attaks, loskop/ditzyness? etc

Thanks Lxx

Hi Leyla, the only tension/panic attacks i had were with the Kwik Kwit's and trying to have enough batteries charged so i could go out for a few hours, other than that not much. A lot of what you are asking might be withdraws from giving up/slowing down the analogs and should pass in a couple of weeks.
WRT the eGo and Stick debate i too have never tried the stick but the one thing i can say about the eGo, is i really enjoy the verity it brings to vaping with all the different atty's available, i really couldn't tell which is my favourite as i use all my atty's depending on what i feel like vaping. In fact i just converted one of my LR306 atty's so i can use the cone and a 510 drip tip and am really enjoying it.
I am looking into getting another unit, Walter(eciggies) can get the Joye stick V3 or a Boge Leo, not sure which one to go for yet but am leaning towards the Leo as i have read of the hassels with the buttons on the Stick.

Leyla, WELCOME! Its great to have another South African with us here, and even more so another 'gal' :)
Congrats on getting ecigs for you and hubby. If we all preferred the same thing I guess there would only be one type of ecig still going .. so its much a personal choice.
My 1st ecig was the DuraC and I liked it apart from the frustration of ever charging batteries and at times finding that I was 'waiting' for a battery. I then listened to the sales talk of the place where I bought it from [a pharmacy that no longer sells them - lol] and bought the classic complete with passthrough a few weeks later. I hated it! It also gave a lot of trouble and eventually I sent it to Twisp due to complete customer dissatisfaction with the product, despite its good reputation. In the meantime, I had bought a Stick as well when they came out here and really liked it, and Twisp aggreed to change my Classic for another Stick. THe Sticks, while I was happy with them also gave some trouble with the buttons sticking - one of them stuck so bad that it fried my new atty in the short time it took for me to remove the battery. None the less I was still happy with the Stick - its a great design. My DuraC never gave any trouble, and is still going [recently gave it to a family member] The passthrough for the DuraC did pack in though, and I felt it didn' t last long given that I did not use it all that much. I was still smoking though - when I first got the DuraC I cut down to 2 - 3 ciggies a day but over time that gradually increased until I was smoking full time and using the ecig only in places that I couldn't smoke for eg: my hubby's car on long travels and in hotel rooms. WHen I got the Stick I once again cut down to about the same, and history repeated itself. Then 4 months ago I got the eGo and haven't had a cigarette since. I love the eGo :) and 2 weeks later bought a second one and a passthrough battery.

Hi Nomdo, think that's a great idea. haven't started buying stuff this year as yet - waiting for Walter and Tanya to reopen.

I must admit that I'm not the most adventurous when it comes to online buying but would like to stick with Eciggies in Pretoria cos i get great advice and service from Walter. Tempted to look into mods but weary of getting stuff from USA - cost being one of the most important factors. what can i say, its always end of the month salty cracks on this end! so for now i guess gonna stick with the Ego and whatever liquids available here. Wanna get into mixing my own flavours but have no idea where to get flavourings from in Durbz. PM me if you wanna get rid of the atomic cinnacide ;)

Not a fan of the Huge cone or cylindrical atty either. Need to try the LR but for now the normal 510 does the job. Not that I have much I can compare with - only other ecig owned was the QuikQwit but have tried the other Twisp Models at the V&A kiosk and they don't really do it for me.

Barkingmad, apologies, I think I assumed again.

So long story short, you prefer Ego > dura C > Stick?

Then I conclude (assume??) that I won't try the Stick after all and just re-new my eGo supplies.

Happy Vaping

The stick is a lovely little thing, but if you already have an eGo, I wouldn't bother with a stick. WHen I bought my eGo I also bought 2 adaptors so my sticks could use a 510 atty or caromizer. Doug_D told me that after getting the eGo I probably wouldn't use the sticks - he was right - lol. I keep them as back-ups. One of the nicest things to me about the Sticks is that they are so easily concealed in the hand, and don't resemble something one would 'smoke' in anyway.... which can be very convenient at times :)
Happy vaping to you too!
