Hi all, my name's Jake and I've been vaping on and off for a few years now. Been smoking analogs since I was in highschool, and I haven't quite kicked the habit yet, but I can say that I've come a long way since I was introduced to e-cigs back in the day.

Quick question if I may:
When I originally started vaping, I was given a disposable SS Choice No. 7 tobacco flavored e-cig. I loved the way it tasted, and even bought my own starter kit through that company, but it didn't always work (which is probably why I stopped vaping and grabbed my smokes again, because vaping wasn't consistent enough to pull me away). Over the years, I've bought gas station grade disposables just to enjoy the taste every so often, but I never got serious about using them again, until now. I bought a Fin e-cig started kit at Walmart and I've been pleased so far with the performance. The tobacco flavor is exactly what I liked: that brown sugary, caramelish taste. But even the strongest tobacco they had, the "Bold" 2.4% nicotine by volume cartomizers, aren't as harsh as I'd like. While looking through Fin's website I noticed they didn't have any e-juice of their own (they do sell carts, though), so it gave me an idea to buy the No.7 tobacco e-juice. I bought it from a local smoke shop, put a few drops in, aaand...... I was totally disappointed. Tastes like I just inhaled pure vaporized perfume.
So, my question is this: What is the actual flavor name of the standard tobacco flavor companies sell? And I don't mean the perfume crap, I'm talking about the brown sugar/pancake syrup/caramel taste. I've heard a few of you alluding it to be "555", but I've also read that that's a totally different flavor.
Also, where do most of you shop to find this particular flavor?

Thanks in advance, and I apologize if this has been covered already (I'm sure it has). I didn't find much using the search bar.

To me it sounds like RY-4 you're talking about. Seems that each place has it's own version. Heather's Heavenly Vapors has a good one they call Legends. My Vapor Store has one they call Our-4. Both are listed in the Forum Suppliers section. You can go to a VAPE shop and tell them what you're looking for and they should be able to help you. The Houston area should have some good Vape shops. Shops that also deal in tobacco don't always have the knowledge or the best juice IMO. Good Luck!

Another TX Vaper here, from about 30 miles south of Austin......The best advise I can give you is to get off the store bought kits and get yourself a new kit....Probably the easiest to learn is get yourself an eGo battery (I've just got a single eGo-T 600mAh battery) and try as many juices as you can....just start out with a small bottle or even better, Go to an actual brick and mortar vape shop and see if they'll let you taste their juices. My local vape shop in Bastrop which is on the way to Houston from Austin...(the shop is called gr8vapes Home Page allows you to taste whatever they have except they don't put any nicotine in their testing tanks. I went in there and liked two different tobacco flavors and they mixed a 50/50 mix of the two and put 24mg nicotine in it for me which has a very similar flavor as to what you're describing.

The main thing is, the store bought kits just aren't anything comparable to what you can get online or even at a vape shop. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a Vape Shop....Not a place that ALSO deals in a few vape kits or something, I mean a place that makes their living from selling vape related equipment and batteries. A half assed decent kit with an ego battery and a run of the mill clearomizer only cost me $45 or so with a charger and a 10 or 15 ml bottle of juice. The battery will last a lot longer than the store bought ones (About a half a day for a heavy vaper like me) and a double battery kit is like $55 or something like that. Once you get yourself a kit you can and probably WILL find yourself buying more clearos than you need just to have a fresh flavor for when you try a new juice. I found my all day vape early and I'm going through a 30ml bottle of something called Dallas-Cohiba 50/50 every week or 10 days at about $16 per bottle....still cheaper than smoking. The Dallas has the sweet flavor with a light tobacco taste and the Cohiba has more of the cigar type of tobacco flavor I'm looking for...It definantly smells like a cigar anyway.

First, a question, what brand did you used to smoke? Second, you'll never be able to completely replicate the flavor of tobacco with nic juice, because there's no combustion or hyrdocarbons. Because of that, flavors other than tobacco are easier for some to quit the analogs with than tobacco flavors, because the vape doesn't quite give you the same thing....and it never will. However, I did read your post, and I do understand that you did find a flavor you like. As has been already mentioned, the 555 or RY4 are frequently mentioned here in the forum. The wife likes desert ship, kind of a Turkish tobacco taste (add a little cotton candy). You can try to search by your brand in the search engine, that may help, or just reply about what brand you used and someone here will be able to help you. welcome to the Forum, be strong and Vape On!

Also, regarding Gr8Vapes website...I know their website is still pretty crappy but the store has only been open since March I think so they haven't gotten that side of it together completely and they still don't ship yet because they're not set up for it...But if you're on the way to Austin from Houston that's a great little vape shop. Just look for the black octopus on the sign....Also, I learned recently that they are getting ready to open up a new store in San Marcos (Texas State University). I don't know where, but they're in the planning stages when I spoke with the owner the other day.

Sorry for those of you reading this that aren't in Texas but I figure that since this seems to have become a thread localized between Austin and Houston and that general area that it might be OK.

RY4 is the sweet, tobacco caramel/vanilla flavored liquid

I just mixed 3 different juices TopVapor tobacco, and two generic brands (western and tobacco flavor) made a 30ml bottle and man is it nice, throaty, flavorful and sweet...tastes alot like pipe tobacco almost (and I ain't a tobacco vaper..I like the fruity flavors)

ECBlend is a very good website and the juices are very inexpensive!
