How're you supposed to work this battery charger?

A frustrating day, to say the least...anyway, I've cracked open my Trustfire Battery Charger and I'm trying to charge the batteries I received. It's the Trustfire Multifunctional Charger For Cylindrical Lithium batteries.

I'm using 10440's. I'm pulling the little silver 'spring' on the charger down and inserting the batteries. Which way should they be facing here? The positive side up or down?

Y'know, it would be REALLY nice if there was the odd instructional manual thrown in with some of these things..sorry, not a 'teckkie' kinda gal...

From what I understand, these things are 'fickle'. What does that mean? I've popped the batteries in there, and the light on the charger IS showing green, but the GG Slim I've just received isn't putting out any POWER per say.

Sorry for the rant, just getting frustrated....:(

OK guys, I've fiddled with the charger and after spending 2 or 3 minutes smacking the batteries around in the charger, the light finally turned red!! (What's UP with that CHARGER?!?) Anyway, popped one of the charged batteries in and pulled the spring out a bit and it's firing up just great!!

Just waiting for my order of blank carto's, (which SHOULD be arriving today!), and I'll be set!! (STILL a bit long for MY hands with the adapter, atty and cart on there! See? TOLD you my hands are the same size as a 10 year olds!!)

We should get together to do a comparison, I've waited my whole life to find another adult with hands as small as mine - I swear I am deformed. :D:D:D

Sometimes it takes a second or two for the charging light to come on. You've been having such issues with the batteries though - I wonder if you might want to try and completely fresh set from somewhere and see if that makes any difference with the issues you're having?
