You're maybe worth getting a pair of ego batteries and putting something else on them than the T atomisers. The ego C should be out very soon in the UK but by the looks of it only totally wicked are going to have it in for a while. It'll be a little more expensive from them but compared to the Ego-T the Ego-C has better reviews for flavour.

I prefer a CE2 aka fluxomiser on an ego for a tank type system. On the xl size you can hold 1.8ml of liquid at a time and it's much more flavourful and warm compared to the T atties. You can pick up a 5 pack of CE2s on totally wicked for less than a fiver right now. The 510 CE2s will work on your current 510 but the ego batteries will last a lot longer if you're considering an upgrade.

You can get a standard ego aka tornado from totally wicked for £30 just now too Wicked-TORNADO E-NIC or Electronic Nicotine Imitation Cigarette Black just want to stick something else on it and it's 510 threaded, same as you have now.

Electronic Cigarettes - Items - FreedomVape (UK) you can pick up a set of 1100mAh batteries and an Ego-T from here with free shipping and 10ml of juice. 1100mAh batteries are pretty big so it's a lastability vs aesthetics issue.

So, in my advice, look around for other options than the Ego-T. It's on sale from a lot of vendors for a reason; it's not great. Wait up for the Ego-C to hit the UK or try out a CE2 or get the bigger ego batteries or just go for something else lol

I'm thinking of switching from a 510 to an ego T system as the reliability of cartos is starting to really annoy me. I've found a few reports that the Ego T isn't as good on flavour. Is that true?

Thanks

Much depends on the ejuice and flavor. T's run hot because, imo, the spike is in constant contact with the ejuice in the tank. It will discolor the ejuice and some flavors can't stand the heat. Some are enhanced by the heat and for those flavors, to me, it's the best flavor except for dripping. On light flavors the heat is too much. The eGo-c doesn't seem to have those problems - a bit higher Ω's on the atty and the spike is shorter (on the A type - which are the only ones out now) and there doesn't seem to be that heat transfer. I'm getting no discoloration in clear ejuices and the flavor is a bit better than the T's. The other thing, for me anyway, there is no odd flavor from the cloth or filler as in cartos. The EMDCC's on the eGo aren't bad (and the CE2's have no filler) but most other cartos have that 'strained through a tshirt' taste for me. None of that with the tanks.

I'm not a big fan of eGo-T attys. I think they mute the taste and vapor production is not that great. I prefer CE2 Clearomizers: they may need some fiddling but they produce great flavor and vapor and I really like the warm vapor coming out of the top coil. The batteries are quite good, way superior to the 510 batteries due to their higher charge and their ability to use LR attys and cartos. That being said, I prefer Riva and KGo batteries for their higher voltage (3.7V vs. 3.2-3.4V)

Update:

Forget the eGo-T, the C is the way to go! Been vaping on one since Dec- Awesome! Flavor is very close to dripping and it's convenient to boot.

They got this one spot on!

One odd thing however, the eGo-C will leak on you if you let the cartridge get too low. But hey, how easy is that to monitor with clear carts? I'm in love. :)
