Hey there. Just curious about something. After 5 months of vaping (no cigs--yeah!) and sampling well more than 50 V4L flavs, I've noticed that my wife and I are sticking with just 3-4 flavs each these days. She's PG and I'm VG (by necessity), but we still talk.

I got to wondering if we're in the minority or majority. Do most folks whittle down the choices to a small handful as the months pass? What about you?

You're in the majority. That's why people trade carts here. You don't know what you like till you've tried it all.

I now in my purse have about 10 flavors in rotation. It's ridic. Mainly I focus on 3 flavors throughout the day and make my other cartomizers jealous. Usually my "permanent" marker label gets smudged and becomes illegible. I have to smell them and guess what they are. I feel like a ..... sitting there sniffing through my cartomizers to find that special flavor;)

Yes, I did the same thing. I bought so many different flavors after my first month of vaping. I placed a big ol' order from a Chinese supplier, and ended up throwing out quite a few bottles not too long ago. Funny that the ones I actually got use out of were the flavors I still like- tobacco and menthol. (though I never vape straight menthol, I mix it with tobacco flavors or vanilla)

Now I'm down to one main liquid: 555!..Maybe a bottle here and there of a different tobacco on the side, and 3 or 4 cart flavor preferences. I rarely deviate...unless V4L comes out with a new fab-o flavor, of course. (chocolate macadamia, chocolate peppermint, and peppermint are 3 of my 4 carts-of-choice :D)

Part of the process I guess. The past five months have been full of "rookie moves" made by me.

Only vaped 2 months so far, and most of the time it's been just menthol, and sometimes grape. I do try other flavors sometimes.

Recently, I have been trying to find a Marlboro equivalent...some good plain cigarette flavors for other smokers to at least try vaping. So I'm also using regular tobacco flavors again at the moment.

I'm looking forward to wow-vanilla, wowboy, and maybe another one soon.

I have finally figured out that I only really NEED a sweet juicy menthol. I have lots of other flavors here, but that's what I rely on. Most days my menthol blend is all I use all day long. I only use other flavors when I've blown out my tastebuds on too much peppermint/menthol. Some of the sweeter flavors taste good, but nothing satisfies me like my minty vapes.

I'm into four V4L menthols that I ALWAYS vape: Menthol/Smilin/Virginia/Kamel.
Occasionally I break out the Dunhall Menthol or 555 when I want more of a tobacco taste.
And every now and then I'll enjoy a bit of Espresso or my newest fave, Bananas Foster.

But my stash is amazing... I can't believe all the stuff I've purchased in just SEVEN months! (However, by my rough estimate, I do believe I've finally broken EVEN.) Geez. It's been such a great ride...close to 3000 cigs I have NOT smoked!

I have stayed with the menthols for the most part. That is what I vape everyday. BUT...I still have LOTS of other flavs so I still mix it up at times. I share alot with my daughter and my sister just started vaping so I will let her try a lot of my flavors so she can save money when trying to find her go to flavors. It has been such a fun ride.;)

CMF, Peach Cobbler, Sour Green Apple, and Spiced Apple Cider have been my go to vapes lately. I'll toss a Smilin' Menthol in occasionally too. I still have *a lot* of variety left over from my "try everything" phase, but it seems in month five my taste buds have finally settled in a bit. With very few exceptions, I haven't hit on anything that I just *couldn't* vape.

The "try everything phase" After two months, I'm still sorta in that phase, but I have settled on a couple flavors I will not go without...555 and Bananas Foster. I use them every day! I do have others in my arsenal to change it up. Unbelievable the stash I have accumulated in just two months. I have started sending care packages to friends and mom!

Thanks everyone. It seems I'm not alone in feeling that I've hit the second phase in vaping now. Past the initial excitement when I wanted to try everything I could find.

Now I want consistency. Small tweaks around the edges are okay (the new XL batts made me smile), but I want to stay in my groove indefinitely, with as few changes as possible. I sure hope that's possible in the future.

I hope you're right, Jeffree, but from what I've seen so far, the ecig industry is still in the "try everything" phase itself trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. That's not to say it's a bad thing, just that I think we're going to be in for roller coaster ride before the industry itself settles into a nice routine. :)

I keep four cartos in my regular rotation - CMF, VG Banana/almond, and two different hazelnut blends. I fill those every other day. I also keep a Smilin and a 555 in my case for people I talk to who want to sample a regular cigarette type flavor.

I've tried and enjoyed a lot of flavors, but very few are good for very long at a time. Many of the fruit flavors are good, but it only takes 4-5 draws before I don't like them anymore. I prefer something that I can leave on my batt for hours at a time.

I still wish V4L had a hazelnut flavor. It would tidy up the buying habits considerably.
