yerp. Basically, with these atomizers youre using Ohm's law to figure out how much power is being turned into heat. To calculate power, you can use the following equation since voltage is going to be constant. Since batteries are a constant voltage source, current changes with the amount of resistance, the lower the electrical resistance (measured in ohms) the higher the current draw and thus the higher the power drain. P=V^2/R (voltage squared divided by resistance).
So a 4.5 ohm atty will have 1/3 the power consumption as a 1.5 ohm part. This means youre getting a third as much heat essentially, so you may not be satisfied with the vaping experience when using 3.7V batteries. However, your battery life will be much longer and less strain will be put on them

They wont ruin your batteries. Where did you get that? Low resistances are much more destructive than higher resistances. High voltage atomizers are high resistance, which means less strain on batteries due to less current draw. THats why they are made for higher voltages since a higher voltage means higher current draw at the same resistance. This is why they designed higher ohm parts so its not overkill (like if u use low res on high volts, its just so much heat that it burns up too fast).
Bottom Line: they dont ruiin your 3.7V batteries. Well at least much less than standard ones and low resistance ones. Using any atomizers like these are bound to stress batteries a lot because theres a ton of current draw and today's batteries arent really designed for fast discharge. Im gonna try experimenting with using a large capacitor and connecting it to a battery as an energy resourvoir. Capacitors are good because they can discharge all their energy immediately, whereas batteries are made for steady current draw.
btw, im an electrical engineer :) sorry for the technical talk

Watch out using the HR atties on 3.7v. That will definately ruin your battery by all means.

Yea it will actually be less brutal to your battery. More ohms with less power consumption . The high res atty with a 6v is equivalent to an LR atty at 3.7 v. It won't hurt ur battery. But won't draw or vape nearly as well
