Yep he just finally decided to hop on the vaping train 2 weeks ago and hasn't looked back so far. :)

He is now off to work in BC and yep even though I told him to stealth vape in the bathroom just in case.. of course he didn't listen and my sixt sense told me he wouldn't. and was expecting him to call to tell me he got kicked off or something like that.. lol

But He proudly announced to me he vaped 2 1/2 tanks the whole trip from Toronto to Vancouver right in his seat . Stewardess just asked what it was and didn't say anything except oh ok and went about their business, passengers asked him questions and were praising him.. lol good thing he vapes raspberry and not a nasty smelling one with an all vg mix.. lol

Leave it to my husband to push the boundaries :)

They also have a long bus ride to do now I wonder what story he will tell me when he gets there.. lol

Thanks I will let him know

I do admire him for vaping on the plane so openly and I will vape too in the plane soon but I'll stealth vape, and you know, just 1 vape every half an hour or so when nobody's looking and down into my shirt, don't want to get into any trouble, just for fun an so I can say I vaped into a plane :)

I don't think I'd risk vaping on a plane at all, I've skimmed a few horror stories on ECF of people being detained, charged and/or banned from flying with certain airlines - generally when they were being stubborn about their "right to vape" but still I don't think it's worth the risk especially if the airline prohibits it. I believe most airlines in North American have banned it.

I can't dig up any of the horror stories I've skimmed on the forum, but here's one that popped up on google: Should electronic cigarettes be banned on airplanes? - Your Community

If he's like me when it comes to flying, :nah: that would be easy. Flying leaves a stain in my panties

A bunch of gravol usually helps a bit though

Even though we're not supposed to do it,(vape in a plane) I think it's the flight attendants and passengers that have the ultimate say by their reaction, be it positive curiosity, or negativity.

2 1/2 tanks wholly cow. How big were the tanks? thats a lot of vapour he must have been pushing.

I'm all for vaping on airplanes, I've done it myself, but I'm of the belief that it should be done stealthily, first out of respect for your fellow passengers, and second for the goodness of the vaping community. If we establish in the community that it is "ok" or "your right" to vape on a plane (because it is technically not illegal), it won't be long before it *is* formally illegal because of inconsiderate people who want to "stick it to the man" and blow huge clouds of vapor because "it's their right", and it's not harmful to anyone else.

When I fly, I use a small 400 mah battery with a high nic juice, and I take toots in the airport and stealthily on the plane when I need them. Flying is MUCH more pleasant now because of this. Would I love to pull out the Provari and vape openly during the flight...sure. But I really don't think it's too much to ask for vapers to be considerate of their fellow passengers comfort, uninformed or not. And all it takes is a few jackasses flaunting their "rights" to get the whole thing turned into a zero-tolerance zone.

As a vaper, I consider it the right thing to do, for MY benefit, if I see a fellow vaper acting in a way that is generally non-beneficial to our community, to step up and say "hey, is it possible to tone it down a bit?"

But maybe that's just me.

Well personally I think this is a noob thing only, I know I was like that when I first started (however I did not vape on a plane). Maybe he converted a few in the process: That might be worth it now but no so sure about future flights. Heck, when I get off the plane I hope my bags are okay cause I need to get out of the terminal and vape it up!

I used to jump out of airplanes in my youth so my relationship with flying is slightly different. There are certain clubs that can be joined to relieve stress or boredom on long flights

I'm new and was flying across the States in November. I didn't vape on the plane but took toots in the airports during my (11 hrs plus) trip one way. I for one, won't be treated as a smoker because I don't smoke and haven't since June. However, I also know the lack of education and the ignorance out there so I am mindful of that. For the record, I didn't encounter any problems in the airports. Which was nice.

I stealth vaped from Oregon to Florida and back last year, never got caught. It sure made the flights more enjoyable for me!

Sorry just noticed this is a Canada forum, hope you folks don't mind.

DO not be sorry our brothers and sister from Oregon are always welcome as are all our brother and sisters from the lesser states

The only problem I had was the flight out of Florida. TSA said my cartos all lined up in row looked like bullets in my carry on! I showed them what they were and they waved me through. BTW I'm a proud New Zealand citizen living in rural Oregon but you wouldn't know it. My parents moved to the states when I was 15 months old!
