Today I got my Dekang RY4. Filled 808D1 carto from litecig and vaped it on Volt batt. I didn like it all, it was very harsh and I could feel alcohol taste in it.
Next I filled v4l coolcart, same result - uvapable.
So I decided to try same liquid on my old Greensmoke batt and empty 808D2 carto from vapure.com and it tasted completely different, I really enjoyed the juice, vaping it now.
Then I tried same liquid on smokelessimage horizontal coil carto and again it has really good taste.

Can anyone explain me what makes such a dramatic change in taste? is it because Greensmoke batt has a higher voltage? Is horizontal coil to be "blamed" for the good taste on Volt carto? Do you think v4l Wow cartos will perform same as volt.

Like was said , different voltages , different ohm cartos's , or atty's will all affect the taste of a juice , if it's harsh , your probably vaping at too high of voltage , or too low resistance atty , or carto . SOme of my juices taste great at 3.7 , but reall y suck at 5 and 6 volts . Same holds true with which carto I'm using at the time . Starting to figure out that I can use SR atty's and carto's for pretty much , what ever voltage I want to use , from 3.7 thru . 6 volts and have good results . So now , I don't really bother with the Low resistance stuff , and they seem to fail sooner than the standard one's . That's my .02 worth .

Yes there is a difference between horizontal coil and vertical coil. Volt batts are sold with horizontal coils and work best with them. Oftentimes if you try a vertical coil on them it won't work or won't work well. But on a different 808 battery they could work well. I prefer horizontal coil cartos in general, tho. I think they have better flavor, they last longer, sometimes you can get more juice in them, and they (well the volt and bloog ones anyways, I'm not sure if there are other brands of horizontal coil that are different) have burn resistant filler.

WOW cartos are vertical coil so they are different. I like v4l cartos but they don't work well with a volt battery. I prefer the premium cartos personally, but that is just me.

Also, what vg percentage is your vapure.com liquid? If it's a higher vg then that will affect how well it works in a carto as well....

    Isn't it fun!?
One of my favorite things is seeing how many different ways I can make the same juice taste.

RY4 is a rather complex formula, and you can literally make each component of that formula stand out individually by changing how you vape it.
By just changing the voltage by 0.3v I can change this 555 that I'm using from a very nutty taste to a strong tobacco taste.

I'm just the opposite of Loveridden. I love the verticle coil cartos...Boge and dual coils. I've always had bad experiences with all the others, especially Kanger. However, I agree with the voltage and ohm matching each other. Rule of thumb...the higher the ohm rating, the higher in voltage you can go. I love 5 and 6 volt vaping so I use 3.0ohm cartos. Use what tastes best to you..that's what matters the most.

Actually hairball, I've never tried any boge brand cartos, and I've never tried any dual coil, only single coil! I tried Kanger before and did not like it!! My fav for when I am using 808s at 3.6 - 3.7 volts are 1.) the smokeless image or bloog horizontal single coil cartos and 2.) the v4l premium vertical single coil cartos.

When it comes to my box mod or my vv ego however my fav is smoktech lr 1.7 single coil carto aka resurrector...but I was really just referring to my preferences and thoughts on my 808 vaping.....

Agreed on the 808 cartos. I like the V4L premium and WOW's..actually both. The WOW's are a nice vape on an eGo with an adapter and the premiums are pretty good on VV mods. It's been awhile since I used 808 batts and such but the V4L stuff was what I used to own. Never tried Bloog or Volt so I can't comment on them.
