Hi,

Sorry for double post, I already created same new thread in newbies forum as I thought I can't create it there.

Currently my setup is AGA-T+ and Gus Telescopic V2+ and my problem is I have a huge voltage drop when fired.
Drop I measure is between 1.2-1.5V. I am using almost new Efest IMR 2250mAH 10A high drain batteries (I read somewhere they are relabelled panasonic) which are fully charged.
No matter what coil or mesh I build there is still similar drop. Now I have 0.9ohm coil from 0.8mm ribbon kanthal on hollow 500 SS mesh. It vapes ok, but without that drop it can be a lot better :)
I took sand paper and cleaned contacts in both aga-t and gus 510 connection, cleaned whole tube and also fire switch. Same with aga-t, I disassemble it completely and clean everything.

Unfortunately I don't have other rba now but have miniDID on way.
When I made some 1.5ohm coil and use it on Vamo I have, it's fires perfectly.

Can someone help me find what causing it and how to solve it?

(and sorry for my english, it's not my primary language)

1.2v voltage drop on a 0.9ohm coil is pretty bad. On a 1.0 ohm coil I get only 0.3v voltage drop with my cobra on a modified Natural. I don't have a Gus, but does it have a spring as a contact point? IF so will it still work if you remove it? I know rollers have a spring for safety (in case the battery shorts) and if you remove it they function a lot better. Sorry I can't offer more help.

Yeah, it have spring, but if I remove it and let battery in contact with adjustable post directly it's almost same :(
So I assume it have something to do with Aga-t.
I'll wait for miniDID which hopefully arrives this week and lets see if it's problem with RBA or mod.

The AGA-T will have more Voltage drop compared to a real DID. BUt not like the voltage drop you are getting. My AGA_T has almost 0.3v more voltage drop compared to my Cobra. So once you get the DID your numbers will improve but it will still be bad I think. Most of the voltage drop is coming from the GUS I believe....hopefully I am wrong.

you try it with a different battery? you could have just got a bad one.
I have only 3 pcs of that Efest IMR, they are all brand new, no more than 10 cycles.
Maybe I should buy one AW IMR to test, but first will wait to miniDID come.

If I have just 0.5V drop I will be happy. I know that whole hardware including battery are stressed but this is too much.
When I bought Gus I thought it's proven to be good and this don't happen to it. Now I am little bit angry :\

Does the GUS Telescopic have spring in the positive connection, as well as regular GUS mods? Like this:
GUS -keskustelua Gus-modeista - Sivu 17

People have been replacing those.
GUS -keskustelua Gus-modeista - Sivu 16
GUS -keskustelua Gus-modeista - Sivu 17

This should of course be done by own risk. I think somekind of insulation is needed (I have seen Boge's plastic caps in good use). Replaced positive screw should only take contact to your atomizers plus, not in 510-threads. So it shouldn't be too thick from the atomizer side. Of course, easiest way is to sell your GUS if you're not happy with it, and by another mod that you don't need to modify yourself.

disclaimer: I haven't done this myself, just followed discussion about this. :)

It have the spring on positive but not like in your image. This one is really brass so changing it with brass screw like I did didn't change anything.
I know the problem is negative post but it's not replaceable at all. Must be replaced whole button. Old versions like Gus22 have also brass negative post but this is last version which is stainless steel.
