I have a Bachelor Nano and Serpent mini to compare it to.

It'll probably take a couple of weeks to get here though, I'll keep you guys (m/f) posted.

I bet serpent won, Im already seen people on HEM start selling their Junior... Somehow my guess its still better V 1.3
People are selling there's probably because they are MTL vapes. A lot of people are ...... at how wide open the airflow on the junior is even at its most restricted point. The kayfun v5 has a similar identity crisis.

I know many people love theirs, but I don't find the Serpent mini all that special to be honest. It's not bad but nothing special imo.

I haven't used that many different RTAs to compare it to though, and I've only used my SM shortly before I had to retire it. The short vapor path makes it too hot for me to use. I'm ridiculously sensitive to heat in my mouth and if I vape on it for an hour or so my mouth feels burned and I can't taste anything anymore for a day or two.

Unfortunately that means I won't be able to use any of the short stubby tanks sadly, I actually prefer the looks of the smaller ones.

The Bachelor and Nano are something really special imo, it really is the perfect flavor and draw for me with the driptip from the optional MTL kit.

But unfortunately only one is problem free out of the 4 I've owned, I couldn't stop any of the others from leaking :(

I also have a bachelor and nano bachelor, love them tanks! here's how I rate my single coil collection :)

Kayfun V3 mini "22mm"
Bachelor Nano
Bachelor
Squape Rs
Merlin
Subtank mini (RBA)
Tube Tank
Serpent
Lemo 2

Everyone seems to love the Kayfun V3, I think it's the most popular RTA on this forum!

How's the draw on those with the AFC fully open compared to a Bachelor? Are the clones any good? I only see the 19mm version available, is there a conversion kit perhaps?

The V5 with MTL Kit = 22mm V3 Mini? [emoji12]

the tank is actually the kf mini v3 Plus, just a fatter V3 that holds more juice :) and with airflow pin removed, the draw is similar to the bachelor, a little tighter...

Am I the first to receive it?

Pardon my lousy pictures by the way, we're having a lot of overcast today.

As you can tell it came with only the bare essentials. The spare glass was extra, I bought that separately.

Luckily I did, because while I was typing that I noticed I've already broken the original glass.

I remember I thought it was loose (there appeared to be a gap between the bottom of the glass and the base of the RTA) and screwed it on a little tighter. So don't do that, lol. It has cracked in two places even, lemme take a pic for you guys.

I didn't put much force on it at all so I'm gonna contact 3fvape to see if I can get some warranty on it. This is the first time ever that I cracked a glass on a tank or a RTA.

The spare glass is a bit frosty by the way, the original was clear. I'm not sure if the spare glass was intended for the SJMY version or for one of the other versions but I just ordered one anyway. I just put it on and it seems to work anyways.

I forgot to take a build-pic but I have a 8 wrap coil in there with an ID of 3,5mm (about the maximum size I feel comfortable putting in there), made of 2 strands of 28G titanium twisted together @0,48ohm.

I'm not super impressed with the performance yet but that might just be my build on it or my wicking, just trying things out. It kinda feels I have a little too much wick in there right now.

Not sure if I'll be spending too much time on perfecting it now that I've completely lost faith in the structural integrity of this little tank. I was already kinda doubtful about this style of tank with the threads in the plastic or glass or whatever it is before I ordered, so this is probably a first and a last for me.

What else, oh yeah, JFC. How are we suppose to operate that? As far as I can tell you can only set it with the tank opened and then you just have to live with however you set it.

Filling it is also not handy and pretty outdated imo.

Anyway, here it is next to the Serpent min:

And with a Bachelor Nano:

And here it was how I was planning to use it before the glass cracked:

I'll vape on it a bit more and see how it goes.

Damn it fast lol. Can you describe the chamber cap and juice flow control? Is that so loose (like hurricane v1.2 clone 316l) or it tight just like original to keep vacum?

The JFC ring is pretty tight to turn, but I'm not sure about your other question. Can you elaborate on what you'd like to know about the chamber cap please?

I don't have neither the original or the V1.2 316 clone by the way, so I'm not able to compare it to those.

Alright, I got over my initial disappointment with the cracked cap and fine tuned my wick a little bit; it's not that bad actually, it isn't all that far off from the Bachelor after all. I do prefer it over the Serpent mini anyway.

That plastic cap & threading does keep me worried though :(

Does anyone know if there's a metal tank for the authentic perhaps?

Filling remains a messy job too. There is very little space between the metal part that surrounds the coil and the plastic dome, & my thick max VG juice keeps sticking in between them when I invert it and screw it apart, only to be released once I pull off the plastic cap.

edit: I wanted to rinse the liquid off the broken cap to salvage the little black o-ring & it just fell to pieces in my hand:

It's hard to tell with the poor lighting but there's another crack in the center piece from about a quarter down all the way down to the bottom. Something had to be wrong with this one before I even started screwing it on, I can't imagine that what little force I put on it caused all that.

Got mine from 3F today and cleaned it up and threw in a 3.1mm ID Tiger Wire coil. 4 wraps came out to .32 ohm. First tank went quickly, but on the second tank, the flavor started in. Nice single coil. Easy to wick and build. No leaks, no cracked glass (plastic). Very quiet wide open. decent air flow. I like it. Gotta put those wick tails flush with the chamber or you will not get the JFC ring on. I just leave the JFC wide open and vape 85VG through it. No dry hits. No flooding. Refill is a little old-school, but no problem.

I've already retired mine. It is just too hot for me.

Not the Junior's fault though, I'm just ridiculously sensitive to heat. Two days with it and my taste-buds are gone, it's even worse with the Serpent mini.

What is a bit worrisome is that after cleaning it before putting it away I noticed my second cap is cracking too. It's still in one piece and working, but there's a large crack all around it where the top goes over in to the side wall, and like 7 or 8 cracks on the top, from the drip tip opening running through to the side wall all around it. The first one started cracking from the bottom, this one from the top funny enough. Too wide a driptip perhaps (I didn't use the one that came with it)?

So I received the 316 version a couple days ago (the sjmy version released 2 days after I ordered the 316 one 8(..) The machining and everything is beautiful. However I'm not to keen on the PC tank. Anyways the juice flow wring on it is so loose that I could blow on it and spin around lol. My last gripe was I could not find any way to fill this thing except to tip the PC tank section upside Down fill it up as far as I could and then screw the base in while upside down.

Anyways performance is good if wicked properly. I have some 2x28gx40g 316l fused Clapton's with 3mm Id ohming out to a .5 running it at 35-45 watts and I am getting a wonderfully thick saturated warm Vape. However I don't like using poly carbonate and its a pain in the ... to fill 8(

This thing could have been Truly great with a few small changes. Also even with the AFC closed almost fully its pretty airy so MTL's will be pretty disappointed.

The SJMY version I have is airtight with the AFC closed. I cannot get ANY air through it. If you want MTL, you can get it on the SJMY version.

Also, the filling from the bottom without the base on is a bit of a hassle, but I knew that was the only way to do it before I bought it. So I expected that little bother. They could have figured a top fill method, and everyone would have been happy to pay an extra dollar or two to have that convenience.

In the long run...I will stick with my Merlins for a single coil experience. Better flavor, better capacity, and easy top fill.
