I was surprised to see that there wasn't already a topic for this great tank! (unless I missed it). I have a Squape and a kayfun 4, and as much as I love them, I keep going back to my Hurricane for my daily rig.

Anybody else liking this tank? I'm using it on my SX Mini ML with 430 SS and it vapes like a dream. I'm always looking for some new ways to use this thing, so please share your setup and any tips or tricks.

And you have any questions, I'll do my best to help since I've been using my Hurricane pretty much non-stop for the last few months...

Thanks!

Do you know if there's a glass tank available for it? I do remember being really interested in getting one (if I remember correctly, easy to fill, easy to re-build without draining, good afc), but no glass tank is a deal-breaker for me...

Currently use a Squape RS, KF Mini 3 looks interesting, but I'd get a Hurricane in a heartbeat if there's glass for it somewhere.

I heard from somewhere they are planning a glass tank upgrade but I guess we will see. Its not straightforward as the pmma is threaded so they presumably will have to do a metal/glass fused tank like the calix for example.

I love mine but I dont like the AF so much. The dual set of holes is a waste of time imho and you only start to see any kind of regulation when one set is closed off. Other than that, easy to build a la taifun, rock solid for temp control, great flavour. No spares at all with the tank and they are not cheap - nearly 25 eur for a replacement PMMA with postage is pretty ridiculous and the metal tank is even more expensive. Otherwise, its a great RTA!!

Gotcha, thanks guys. Guess I'll keep holding off on a Hurricane for the moment (if I could find one, that is, been looking around since seeing this thread and they seem to be sold out everywhere...). I tend to use more than my fair share of tank-cracking juices, and definitely wouldn't want to risk a $180 USD tank with impossible-to-find replacement parts...

Love the Hurricane. I don't do the temp control thing, but it performs flawlessly with kanthal. I've found using "M" wicks work better for me than trimming the wick right outside of the chamber. I .... the shoulders of the wick up against the holes and let the ends just barely touch the bottom of the deck. Never had a dry hit that way.

Any ideas on how to tighten the draw on Hurricane? It's too loose for me. My coil has 2mm diameter. Would a 2.5 or even 3mm give me the tighter draw that i want?

I havent tried but it may be possible to use the same trick as the Taifun and put a piece of PTFE tubing in the air-hole under the coil and reduce the diameter. You could also push the coil closer to the hole which will give a bit of extra flavour but you might lose some throat-hit. As I said earlier, the AF is one of the poorest features of the 'cane in my opinion..
