Am I hurting my eVic if I charge it with my phone charger in the car? It is a Verizon charger for cell phone, I currently have my eVic in mini mode with a 18350 IMR 3.7 800mah battery. The screen does say its charging, just a little concerned.
I was kind of wondering that myself. I would set the custom" mah" setting to whatever the battery is. Then I would feel safer. Surely the Evic chipset can tell when the correct voltage is reached for a full charge.

If the evic supports battery charging through the USB port there shouldn't be anything to worry about with the evic itself. If anything, I'd be more concerned with the battery itself.
Lithium batteries need (or at least should) be charger following specific charging profiles using a mix of "constant voltage" and "constant current". Following the correct charging profile ensures that you will get the longest life out of your batteries.
Most stand alone charger attempt to follow this profile. Some better than others... There's a reason, for example, that the Pila charger costs more than double the average charger...
I'd want to make sore the evic is using a proper CV/CC charging profile before I used to charge my batteries.
Thanks for all the help guys. The battery that's in there isn't that great anyway, my eVic shuts off at around 25% with that peticular battery. I does charge pretty fast that way. I saw a someones post here on ecf that they charged their eVic in 15 minutes through the USB port, not sure what size/mah rating their battery was
