I live in Alabama and somebody in California used my credit card number online to buy tickets to Disney Land for $525.00 and I’m just saying, I purchased some e cig supplies from a vender in California. but I can’t prove anything. I had to cancel my credit card and go thru the hassle of being with out the $525.00, I had in my account. I’m just saying be careful out there are thieves stealing credit card information.

I personally only like to deal with websites that support paypal as a payment method to avoid this.

Paypal does not send out financial information to the seller, which greatly protects you against credit card theft.
I have been scammed a few times where the seller won't ship the item, but then I just dispute on paypal and all is well

Problem with Paypal is it doesnt allow ecig companies here in the US. They can, will..and have to many many venders suddenly locked their account up should they be caught selling ecig or ejuice.

Why do they not allow e-cig vendors?

It is completely legal to sell e-cig and accessories correct?

You also need to check your computer. You might have a virus/spy ware program as well. It might not be from the venders end is what I'm saying...

Yes n no...it's completely legal to sell alcohol too...but not on PP. It's against their company policies to sell any drugs, tobacco or ect. Which is how they classified ecigs.

There are a few ecig companies that get away with it, some for much longer then others.

Also they will permanently lock up regular users PP accounts as well, and why you will see in the Classys "no mention of ecigs"

Another line of defense- a online only debit card. One can control what you have in your account. Most banks offer this service. Sign up and check your account each day. It takes only minutes to control your account.

I was a victim of my banks information being compromised. Thus my card was used by others. Nothing is truly safe. Knowledge is the only power in protecting your funds. After that adventure I decided me and hubs are going to monitor our accounts daily.

Hopefully, your bank or ? will investigate and take care of this. Most banks don't want to lose funding from their customers.

This is a good bit of advice. Alternatively you can go with a prepaid card like offered through walmart. as long as you register it the CC processors will accept it. Never had a bit of troouble with mine.

Can we know who was the last vender? or was it the only vender that you have bought from?

Almost all vendors use a CC processing service and do not store your CC info, it is forwarded by SSL to the processor's site.

Does anybody know of any Local Huntsville, Alabama e cig supply stores, not online?

And I have only purchased e cig supplies form one vender in California, and I’m not saying who it is. Because I have no proof they or anyone did anything wrong or did anything with my information. I just figured it had to be someone local in California, because the tickets were purchased online on 26-Jul-2011 and were used 27-Jul-2011. I hope they had a good time…

Does this mean their policy allows non-US vendors? I've used them on many orders, LF is UK based for instance, seems ok. A hell of a way to run a railroad. The "no cig mail order" law was for Big Tobacco. This Paypal deal is to leave merchants to higher CC fees. What BS! These corps always have to spin it into some morality play...:glare:

Oh NO! So sorry that it happened to you. :( That's a lot of hard earned money. :glare:

I don't know what credit card you use, but I would look at the fine prints on your contract. When something similar happened to me ($ 3000.00 worth of shoes!), I went to the cops, cancelled my card and contested the charge (I followed the terms of the contract). The credit card company had to refund me the money (phew!).

There's a couple places in Georgia that sell stuff! When I'm on my other computer I can link them- if someone doesn't beat me to it first ;3

This is why I love my local state-wide credit union. They go to great lengths to protect my account and personal info. They once asked me some survey questions and one of them was asking me why I used their credit union:

"Because you're local and I know where every single employee lives just in case someone decides to muck about with my money."

No issues yet, knock on wood...
