Hey all,

I've been vaping for about four years now - still feel like I'm never satisfied even though I vape 36mg juice from Madtownvapor.

I use a innokin itaste MVP20 watt with a Kanger Protank 3 and use 1.8ohm coils

I'm looking to upgrade my gear since I'm almost out of the coils (I bought 18months worth of kanger coils off fasttech.)

Anyways, that's my story. I'll be poking around the forums.

I used WTA to help me quit. It was IMMENSELY helpful and at 36 m.g. I don't see more nicotine satisfying you. There are some good makers of WTA including Aroma and Umbavape. To me, Aroma is the "gold standard" of WTA e-liquids, and that is what I used when getting over my smoking detox. Alkaloids aren't as harmful as smoking, as it is my understanding that it's really the combustion of them that causes the issues. Umbavape e-liquid is less expensive, but also quite good. I find it hard to compare them though, due to price differences and that I used Aroma while quitting. I still keep a tank of WTA around for stressful times, although I don't use them all the time. It's a lot harder to wean off cigarettes than WTA, I must say, but for some folks needing that extra "oomph" that vaping lacks, they can be a worthwhile strategy. Nicotine certainly plays a role in dependency on smoking, but the alkaloids do too, they are powerful anti-anxiety, and anti-depressant things, called MAOI-A and MAOI-B.

If you are finding yourself craving constantly, they may be worth a try. I bought wholesale liquid rather than flavored from each company and used less than 1/3 of a dropper full per tank, when I started.

If you get a more powerful setup, that may help, but it may also be the case that you may need to lower your nicotine a bit, if it's a large change in the amount of vape you will be inhaling.

Welcome to ECF, I hope you find something that works for you. Nic salts are another option, they are more reportedly more bioavailable more quickly, and less harsh. Some folks DO go higher than 36 m.g. with them, I believe the Juul goes up to 50 mg/ml, but it is in a very, very weak delivery system, so you aren't getting as much per puff. However, there is only so much to expect from nicotine alone, and the detox process can be painful. But if you have been vaping a while and still getting strong cravings, well, many folks start smoking young enough to not know that smoking may in some ways be treating and underlying depressive or anxiety condition. If you are fully switched over and still experiencing strong cravings, you may want to check that out.

Some folks just do fine with nicotine, other folks require a bit more be it WTA, be it Swedish Snus, whatever. They are still valid, useful harm reduction options.

Good luck,

Anna

Welcome and glad you joined.
Your equipment may not be the problem, looks good to me. I agree with @Mike P .
We are all different, I have read some folks enjoy 40+ nic mixes.

I had a MVP2 with a Pro Tank and I didn't feel satisfied either.

A lot of times people say that MTL is great and it's what gets them off cigarettes. The opposite is true as well.

Some people need big plumes of vapor to deliver a lower concentration but stronger dose of nicotine. It's what worked for me.

Maybe your problem isn't nicotine concentration. Maybe you need to go lower and try out DTL.

I agree with dom qp. When I really got into vaping and off smokes it was through larger devices DTL and bigger plumes. I love the hobby as well. Vaping can't really replicate a cigarette exactly. It can however be much better and more satisfying than any cigarette could ever be..

If your doing a protank and use to mtl, there definitely is other levels. The next step would be a nautilus 2 and then above that would be rebuildable rtas. Of coarse, you also could try completely doing the opposite with changing your inhales to dtl and try sub tanks

I would suggest something like the Kangertech toptank or any tank that will let you try different coils and give you different inhale styles. With the toptank you have a range of coils from 0.5 to 1.5 and is airy enough to do dl inhales that way you can try mtl or dl and would help narrow down your options
