I am a REAL vaping newbie!

Yes. I admit it. I'm a NEWBIE when it come's to vaping! I really don't know much more then the fact that I got started for $55 by buying a Vapor Tech starter kit (the 900 batt. model?!?!), 24 mg Mtn. Dew flavored juice, and the chick working the shop I bought from threw me a strawberry juice sample, cowboy, and cowboy road samples... Two days later, I went in and dropped another $20 in hopes of more smoke, and more of a throat hit by investing in a double barrel atomizer (I think it's called an atomizer. Maybe clearomizer? I dunno.) Anyway, here I am, $75 later, and vaping like a crackhead. I love this ish. I haven't had a cig in 5 days now, and I am all about learning more & more about the vaping world.

But, at the same time, as you can probably tell, as far as the lingo, and name's for all this stuff, I don't know anything! I want to know more! I'm just... new! So... that's where you come in! Hopefully. People! Can you please shed a little insight into my next steps into this world?!?! I want BIGGER & BETTER!!! I want HUGE CLOUDS of smoke, and I want my throat to BURN!!! O.K., well, maybe not BURN, but, you know, I wanna FEEL it...

So, any and all advice will be very well received as I am extremely open to absoloutely any & all of it you can tbrow my way! I look forward to learning, and being a part of the vaping community. In good standing. And all that good ish.

Ejuice consists of pg =propylene glycol and gives the juice throat hit
vg = vegetable glycerin and gives more clouds.

Of course, the nic level can add to the throat hit. And it depends on the ecig battery and whatever topper you use.

It is usually suggested to start with a 50/50 mix of pg/vg and go from there to adjust to your liking.

The hardest part is finding an ejuice you really like.

Congrats on making the switch You may want to check out the bigger e cigarettes (or mods (hate calling them that)) for more clouds. Variable voltage can help you dial in more power. If you're using eGo style 1.5. ohm cartomizer tanks can help you get the most bang for the buck. Good luck!

Congrats on getting rid of the sticks. It's easy to go nuts. I know, when I find a new interest I go totally overboard. I've been at it a few weeks and I have 2 PVs, spare tanks and am going in on liters of unflavored with a guy at work so I can dilute down from 24 and flavor my own. Ask questions here and you will get it quick. This is a great board. Look at the bright side, vaping is not as expensive as a Harley.

Welcome! This is a really fun hobby, and many newcomers (myself included) want to jump in and get those competition clouds going out the gate. Please take the advice of those of us who say take it slow. Yes, you can probably get a sick coil built, or even have your shop do it for you... BUT.. there is a wonderful learning curve here. There are so many nuances to this hobby, like many others, that jumping in feet first, flying by the basics can catch up to you later when you run into issues.

Try getting a Kanger ProTank 2, or better yet, the Anyvape Davide BCC. Not the dual coil, just the single. Also grab some 28, 30 and 32gague Kanthal wire and a bag of sterile or organic cotton balls.

If you have two devices, fill one with your favorite juice, get your supplies out, and watch a few Rip Tripper and PBusardo videos specifically on rebuilding Kanger heads, and vape away, watch, listen and learn. Try your own. Build it.. put it on a save Variable Voltage or Variable Wattage device.. test the resistance (ohms), dry burn it, and stuff it loosely with cotton wick, and enjoy the clouds.

Once you can wrap a coil to your target resistance, find the sweet spot for the juice you are vaping (power level), and can adjust the vape to your liking without looking anything up.. you will be ready.

From there, you have the world at your feet. You will have an understanding of the basics, you can then research batteries, you can use Ohm's Law to dial in your device according to the output of your battery and the resistance of your coil, and nail your sweet spot every time.

Many people want to skip past the basics. While possible, the missing information is huge. The mistakes you make on the Kanger heads on a safe device will prepare you for troubleshooting later when you step it up, and I can tell that you will step it up.

...I started three months ago, and I already have 5 devices.. 2 eGo style, 2 Variable Voltage devices, and a mechanical with a dripping atomizer, and understand most of it. Now it's a matter of playing with exotic coil builds, different wicking materials, different resistance coils.. it's a wonderland. And the month or two of learning the basics has really made a difference.

Also... don't go to crazy buying gear just yet. You will need to learn what fits you, and will look down one day at hundreds of dollars of equipment that you haven't touched since the first time you built it.

Biggest advice i could give a new vapor, have fun and dont think you have to know or have or buy everything. It can be very overwhelming to try and keep up with every new thing in this vaping world, never forget we are choosing a healthier alternative to tobacco, we are taking our lives back.
