I am an American and might have to be in Singapore for a few months.

Bob, I think you're scaring the guy….singapore, now more than ever, has nothing to gain by antagonising tourists….it is a primary source of income…..how do you think it will play in the media if they are seen to terrorise some poor kid for ignorantly bringing in a mod? (He didn't know.) As it is, people don't want to come here because it is seen as too expensive and authoritarian and the country has been working for years to portray a softer side.

As usual, all the fire and brimstone serves mainly to keep the locals in line. The ban on chewing gum came because some idiot kids were sticking gobs of gum on the sliding subway doors, rendering them unsightly and unusable. Ive seen hundreds of people chewing gum in singapore and no one gives a damn.

Discretion is key and there will be no problems as long as one does not shove it in their faces.

I was thinking of putting my juice in an a few empty shampoo bottle that I can get. I was thinking of dismantling my mod and mixing it up with my GoPro accessories and drones. Anyone think this is a bad idea? How often do Singaporean custom look through your stuff? Like check in bags, carry on, etc?

tyteeye510, if its discovered it'll probably just get confiscated.
they can fine u however so just remember there's a risk

You can buy it in the Chemist here, just need to take ID and give a DNA sample so they can test any found on the street (well maybe not the DNA part).

Checked-in luggage:
Juices in your toiletry kit. No need to put into shampoo bottles.
Tanks in your toiletry kit.
Mods can be checked in WITHOUT batteries. Just drop them in your luggage.

Or you can carry the lot in your carry-on luggage. Whether you get scanned on the way out depends on your luck. If you're scanned, you're SOL.

Don't be stupid and carry in brand new items still in their sealed packaging.

Everything is just common sense, really.

Just remember to carry your mod in your carry-on baggage as it is not allowed on checked-in baggage.

You can dismantle your tank and hide your eliquid as much as you want. It doesnt really matter cos if the officers at customs want to check your baggage, they will most probably find your PV no matter how much preparation you do.

As someone earlier said that Singapore has nothing to gain from antagonizing tourists, maybe if you get caught just feign ignorance and perhaps the officers will just confiscate your PV without fining you. No promises tho.

Also, I don't know if you'll be able to bring your PV out of Singapore when you decide to leave. All baggage have to be scanned when you depart so they'll and I'm not sure you'll get charged for possession since you ARE already leaving the country. Can anyone advise on this? In any case, I would suggest buying a cheap PV and dispose it in Singapore when you're leaving.

PS if you decide to bring your PV, could you bring some supplies from the USA for me? :p jk

The mod is fine. It's the batteries that have to be in your carry-on. So unless you have a mod that has built in batteries, it's fine to leave it in you checked-in luggage.

You can dismantle your tank and hide your eliquid as much as you want.

Putting it in your toiletry kit or with a bag of small parts like chargers and so on is fine. Juices in the toiletry kit also can make it; x-ray can't differentiate it from other liquids.

Also, I don't know if you'll be able to bring your PV out of Singapore when you decide to leave.

No issues here. I have my vape gear on my carry on and that's subject to multiple scans when exiting. They don't care. The security scans are for security threats, not customs. And customs' mandates are for materials incoming. You'd need to be aware about the rules at the point of disembarkation though. The law at your destination will be what you need to be wary of.
