Hi guys,

been reading a lot and forgive me if i may have missed the answer...

i wanted to build a build using a 30-32g wire..
objective is ofcourse make small thunder clouds when I vape

now,
which path to take

microcoils?
if yes hom many loops?
resistance?
and how do put cotton balls in stretch the thing and insert like a silica?
or thin film and stuff it like a turkey?

regular coils 2/3 loops (usually 1.2 ohms)
what "thing"do i wrap the wire to to have a similar rating of 1.2 ohms..
I get this right now 2-3 strands of 2mm silica wick.then wrap the wire on it...

and how do put cotton balls in stretch the thing and insert like a silica?
or thin film and stuff it like a turkey?

really interested in making wicks thru cotton balls,I think I would be the first guy in our country (ph)
to try the thing,,,
hehehhehe

p.s

I am using a zmax
and era for a rba with a 2mm hole,,,
batts dunno if it matters got a pair of high drain batts and a pair of generic
dunno if it matters

ps.s.

can I use baby wipes?hahahha
the cotton type..dry em up??hahahahah

Micro coils should serve you well. As a point of reference, with a 1mm inside diameter coil of 28g Kanthal, I got 1.3ohm with around 12 wraps. So a few less with 30/32g... I'm guessing around 8, though that's just a guess. Diameter of coil will effect ohms also.

Good luck threading cotton balls though, you're gonna need it :) It's only gonna take a very little bit of it, but in the end, you'll find you only need a little. Bend a piece of thin wire around a length of cotton, and use that to pull it through the coil. I ended up using only 1 tiny strand unwound from 3mm silica... nothing more doubled over like that would thread. Good luck.
