I wanted to make a new coil and wick for my IGO-L even though my current setup was only a week old... I wasnt getting the vapor production I wanted. I have been using some cheapo fasttech silica so I thought I would out my dryburn fears aside and try a cottonball wick.

I wrapped a 4/3 coil using a 4-40 machine screw with 31ga kanthal a-1. I left the coil on the screw while i fastened it to the posts and the positioned the coil and backed the screw out. I pulsed it a few times to anneal the coil and make sure it was firing correctly. I dont think I have seen a coil light up as evenly as this one had. ive primarily been hand wrapping and tweaking the coils manually...but this way was easy.

next, I took cotton ball and ripped about a third of it off and twisted it into a loose wick until it just slid into the coil. I trimmed it to length so that each end of the wick would rest in the juice well.

then i saturated the wick with about 10 drops and waited a minute. added about 10 more drops to fill the well and put the cap on. I took a nice long toot and was BLOWN AWAY by the flavor. Intense is an understatement!

Ive been hitting this thing pretty solid for the last few hours and have been amazed by the performance so far.

just wanted to share :D

Thanks,
Geo

In a haze of vapor
Good for you bro! I have good luck with dollartree makeup pads as well as peaches and cream cotton yarn. In my yarn experience, having CLEAN hands is critical. I've even invested in a box of rubber gloves because if you're anything like me when I'm messing with my "kit" my hands invariably get all gross. I've found 100% improvement with all builds actually but it's just easier sometimes to wash gear and hands.

I love the igo line, I've got all of them. Gotta love the UD products! Just fired up an igow tonight with stock airholes (lol reallllly tiny) and 29g twisted wire 4 wraps. Really happy with the build. It's a big change from my high air/vapor builds!

I am loving the IGO-L!

I haven't been vaping long and didn't get dripping until I bought a cheapie phoenix clone for testing DIY juice...now I'm hooked.

I have two pro tanks that I just started rewicking with butcher's string because the flavor was so muted I couldn't stand it. By the end of the day I couldn't even tell what flavor I had in there, lol.

Thinking of getting another igo-l for the wife's device and using my igo-l on my provari...then putting an igo-w dual coil on the sigelei.

Will try posting a pic of my current setup...
